Civilization IN SPACE!

What is so wrong about 1 AI civ?

It's a very slippery slope. If I allow one AI that means other players might feel encouraged to retire as well, leading to fewer and fewer humans until finally this turns into a singleplayer game.

I put up a post in the Replacement Players thread since Tachy is nowhere to be seen or heard. My guess is suicide.

When I host games I usually PM potential players with invitations to replace the departed player. If you are adamant about no AI perhaps you should try the same trick?

I already did and am waiting for Luthor to reply.

I was unable to find a replacement for this game but it doesn't seem to be moving anyway.

In the City/Solar system screen in regards to those planets at the bottom right of the screen.
They read like this 0/2, 0/2, 1/3 etc.
I've clicked on the 1/3 planet and it flashes so I assume this is the planet I am working.
1) Is this planet like a "Cottage" if you continue to work it it will grow to 3/3
2)if is like an improvement can it be "Pillaged"?

Many apologizes if this has already been explained

We still need to find a replacement for Tachywaxon, that's the biggest problem.

Those numbers are population points, the left one tells you how much pop you currently have on that planet, the right one how much population can be on that planet.
You are working any planet you have at least one pop on, that is 1 or a bigger number on the left side of the slash. The main difference to the base game is that you can put several pop points on the same planet, while in BtS you can only have a single pop per worked tile. If you have a size 3 star system you can assign all three pop to work the same planet if it has a 3 or more on the right side of the slash.
Planets can not be pillaged, since they can't have any improvements in the first place as they are not tiles but a part of their star system. They can however lose buildings and population if their system is being conquered. The nuke equivalent of this mod, the Planetbuster I think it is called, completely destroys one planet when it is being used against a star system.

If a planet flashes that means you have selected it and can add or remove population to or from it with those + and - buttons next to it. Watch out that you have no unassigned population, as it doesn't produce anything whatsoever, and is thus even worse than the citizen specialist in Vanilla.

Your awesome, I understand now.

Could you enter the turn and change the password and each of us take a turn playing that turn? We would unfortunately know about that system but equally.

We can post in the FFPlus threat to find a player?

You assume wrong. You are working every planet that has population. In terms of where you are building your buildings, clicking the planet only shows you the planet it does not change which one is the place the buildings are made. The planet display and list of buildings on the right switches to show the planet and buildings for that currently selected planet. The list on the left side of the screen always shows all buildings in the entire star system.

To select a planet as the destination for buildings you have to select that planet and click on the checkbox next to the thing that says "New Buildings will be Constructed on this Planet". The one where the buildings are being built has a big check mark in the checkbox. (If you hover over that the tool tip should indicate this.)

Selecting another planet will let you build all (or nearly all) the buildings you have already built again. With only a few exceptions, you can build almost every building on each planet. So in a system with 5 planets you can build 5 banking systems to get the bonus multiple times since they are all cumulative, which gets you +125% credits in that star system from 5 banks. This is often not very cost effective though, due to the way each type of building increases in cost as more of that type are built. But in many, or even most, star systems it is good to build most of the buildings at least twice. Note that this also applies to things that give free prestige - if you have 5 training compounds in a star system each ship you build there gets 10 free prestige from that (which is good for 3 promotions, unless you are the Brotherhood, in which case you'll get more). Also, every planet with population on it should end up with a mine, mag-lev, and satellites (once they become available) focusing on the higher population planets first to get them most benefit. In the late game a bunch of the mine upgrades (nanoextraction facilities or the UB equivalent) and the habitation systems and it's upgrade should be built in each star system.

Give me a few minutes to download this version of the mod, and I can act as a replacement for a while.

Not that I'm ungrateful, but what do you mean by 'a while'?

We have waited weeks, I'm sure we can handle a few minutes.

Sorry for the misinterpretation. From what I know, you need a replacement, but I do not know for how long. I'm willing to play until Tachy comes back, is what I mean.

I've sent my turn a couple of hours ago.

I must say, this mod seems very exciting. I can't believe that I've never tried it for the entire time I owned the game.

There, wouldn't that be something for you God-Emperor? It would only be a matter of two weeks tops.
