UU: Banner Cavalry
Slightly cheaper than the Lancer, which it replaces, the Banner Cavalry is a ranged unit with the ability to Indirect Fire. In addition, it may attack twice per turn when beginning adjacent to two or more units that share its Banner.

I don't really like the Manchurian icon in Samurai Invasion of Korea, simply because it's too Qing-y. I'd like to focus on the Manchu that conquered China, and leave JFD with the Manchu that ruled it.

If people can come up with a good Banner Cavalry design that could easily and comfortably replace the Niru, I'd be glad to hear it.

One thing though, I'm still very fond of the old Manchu icon I did, but if the new one is more popular I guess I'll have to bend my will. What do you guys think, flag or flower?

This is heinously strong.

Oh I like both of them, but I'm going to go with the new banner. More Manchu in my opinion and we don't have enough civ icons with writing on them. Yeah that Hillfort is kinda string, how'd I miss that? Actually I know, I rushed. Eh whatever I've changed it now.

Yeah that's a nice cav unit, I approve! What's going to happen to the Niru now? 3rd UC? Also what is JFD making? A Manchu civ as well or a Qing civ?

The Niru has been dropped in favour of the Banner Cavalry. I don't support 3rd and 4th UCs, way too much effort. JFD's making a Qing under Cixi.

Okay knew that, so 3rd and 4th UC is a pain to do? How painful is it? Ah he's making a Qing mod, nice! Somebody had to do it at some point.

Support for 3rd and 4th UC requires one to, well, do a 3rd and 4th unique component :p. That means almost double up on icons, pedias, design and code. Plus, with more components balancing becomes way more complicated.

Ah yeah that makes sense, not so much complicated buy just double the work. All right thanks for that insight! Oh also another question, where do you guys get the colours for your civs? Like we're do you get the values from? Is that somewhere in the SDK?

red green blue

Red, Green, Blue.

Oh yeah red, blue, green. But where do I access the RBG?

Also some more questions, if someone has done art and/or coding for me, how do I put it in my solution?

Also who does skin mesh? And the black and white UI?

Edit: Oh yeah I remember now! When should I make my mod mod compatible and how do I do so?

And I had another question but I forgot what they were, so instead I'm going to show my redone Eureka design! I'm thinking of adding more things (like tourism on mines but I feel that would make mines OP), also I can't decide if I want to have the Eureka Miner change into either pops or workers. So I want your opinion on it, thanks!

The Eureka Rebellion under Peter Lalor.

UA: The Ballarat Gold Rush
Start the game near a source of Gold and with mining already researched, mines give :c5culture: Culture and garrisoned units give :c5happy: Happiness.

UU: Eureka Miner (Rifleman Replacement)
Weaker and cheaper than normal Rifleman it replaces, but it has the 'Eureka Oath' promotion which buffs the :c5strength: Combat Strength of nearby player owned units by 5% and this unit can be converted into a pop/worker and vice versa.

UB: Stockade (Walls Replacement)
A bit weaker than the normal walls, but it gains + 2 :c5culture: Culture initially and +2 tourism upon entering the modern age. All units in or adjacent to a city with a stockade in it gains a 5% :c5strength: defensive bonus.

I've had an idea for... well, I guess a new design challenge. But I don't want to post it as a new thread because there's 4 already. It's basically where you propose a unit or building to make unique, as well as a continent to make it unique for.

It's not very creative or interesting but it's an idea that's been bugging me. Just thought I'd mention it.

Hmm... interesting. Like, for example, an African hospital replacement?

Yes, precisely. The thing that got me thinking was how there's very few late game uniques, which I was thinking about for a separate reason. Then I started thinking about bomber replacements, and artillery replacements, and then the idea blossomed into this challenge. If people are interested I could host another thread, but again as I said there are already lots of design challenges.

Sounds like a cool idea! However, I would define 'lots of design challenges' as around 10 threads, rather than only 4, so in my eyes 5 design challenges still isn't that much ;) GO AND CREATE THAT THREAD!!!

Oh yeah red, blue, green. But where do I access the RBG?

A color has a defined RGB Value
Bright Red is 255 Red, 0 Green, and 0 Blue
But a purple might be 179 Red, 0 Green, 179 Blue

Converting to Civ 5 format, divide each color value by 255. So Red will be divided to 1.000, 0.000, 0.000 (Decimals don't matter for zeros, but round to the nearest thousandth for when there's more than 4 numbers.)
Here's a handy website: http://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp

Funny you mention, I was going make a new challenge :p
