Civilizations by ldvhl

Side note for folks: I helped make River City Ransom Underground, which is currently listed on Steam Greenlight. If any of y'all would be willing to vote for its release, it would be greatly appreciated. The Greenlight page is available here.

Thank you all!

The Amalek voice actor is doing some research and getting ready to start recording soon. When Danmasch gets back from vacation, we'll hopefully have something to release.

I can't wait to see the Amalek, I've been personally waiting to get my hands on a first nation civ that I've never heard of.

It... depends on who you ask. Well, you read the leader bio (I also found an actual article about her in english if you're interested). Some people say she was born as far as Paraguay, others say she was a natural Tehuelche, so anything goes really.

That said... I may have a contact or two in Argentina, will tell you if I find somebody.

Small (personal) update for people. A few months ago, I took a couple weeks off because of a case of depression (I'm not doing that again, don't worry). Basically what's going on with me is I'm losing my memory. Both sides of my family have a history of dementia and related illnesses and it's now my turn.

I still plan on being a part of the community and making mods and helping people, but if I forget things or seem a little out of it, please bear with me.

Thanks all!

Man, that's rough. Glad to hear you're still with us, though.

Yeah, hang in there mate.

I have to deal with my fair share of that sort of nonsense (both dementia and other stuff, man genetics suck), really hoping that things become more manageable for you at some point in the future.

Pedia enteries!!!

Sabu Nagib
Spoiler :
Sabu nagib

Strategy
The Sabu nagib is the Amalekite unique unit, replacing the spearman. It is both faster and starts with the drill I promotion, making it suited for both defending and attacking on rough terrain, as the Sabu Nagib gains a 5% combat boost per each unit it has killed.

History
Sabu nagib were the backbone of the armies of ancient Canaan. Fully equipped troops that served on regular basis, they could be clearly distinguished from the irregulars and the militias and were usually commanded by a Muru- u on the battlefield.

Sacred Palms
Spoiler :
Haram

Strategy
The Sacred Palms are the Amalekite unique building, replacing the temple. In addition to its effects, the Sacred Palms also provide food and additional growth during wartime, allowing your cities to grow while investing in unit production.
History
Coming from Arabia to the desert of Southern Israel, Palms were very common in the Amlekite territory and were sometimes regarded as a holy place, or a Haram.

Those are the right UB and UU, right?

Sabu Nagib was the UU, but the UB is the Sacred Palms. Thanks for the first one though! (If you'd be willing to do the Amalek civ and Agag leader pedias, that would also be handy!)

Edited. I might do the other pedias later, but it'll be a bit more complicated.

How're things going on your side?
Eh, progressing.. Slowly.. I haven't had much time for modding this past week (assignment deadlines, two children home with a minor flu from kindergarten and preschool, respectively, and modding don't mix [emoji14]). Maybe I'll get some done the coming week.
