It looks that way anyway, the police haven't formally identified the bodies but they have said they believe that McRae and his 5-year old son were killed when his helicopter crashed in Scotland.

That's the 2nd Scottish rally driver to die after appearing in a computer game (Richard Burns died a few years ago from a brain haemorrhage).

So RIP Colin. He was the driver with the most rally wins. The game was pretty good too by all accounts, I wonder if they will keep the series going as a tribute or not.

Man, all these 'famous people deaths' come in clumps, don't they? There was Puerta, and then in quick succession Pavarotti, Anita Roddick, that protester woman and now Colin McRae.

RIP.
 
A tribute was paid today also by Valentino Rossi, who before his race held a sign which read "We'll miss you Colin" and after dedicated the victory to him.
Anyway, RIP
 
That was a real shame :sad: It's not so long when Richard Burns also passed away.
