Ohio State had about 19 minutes Time of Posession, and more yardage on the kickoff return than the rest of the game (93-82)

On a side note:

Eww indeed :p Not like I was much better picking National Championship games...about the only one I've had right recently was Miami over Nebraska.

Hetland being perfect on two 40+ field goals was stunning to me, this guy was a total mental wreck. 4-13 all year, longest was 38 yards. Then in the biggest game of his life he NAILS two long field goals. Incredible.

The fact that ESPN is for some reason talking about a shared NC with Boise State is further proof of thier own stupidity...I don't even know if its bias, just stupidity. BSU played in the WAC...THE FREAKIN WAC. You know, with such powerhouses like Hawaii, Fresno State, Idaho (god the Kibbie Dome is awful).
 
I'd like to point out that BYU beat out Notre Dame in the final poll

@augurey, I meant the same amount. Boise beat Oregon State, Hawaii, and Oklahoma. Michigan beat Penn State, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame. Oregon State is a better team than Notre Dame right now. Hawaii vs. Penn State would be fun to watch ;)

And who's No 1 in Preseason next year, FLA or USC?
 
Probably U$C. They've got an assload of talent back, and where it counts, too.
 
USC has the potential to be given the preseason spot but I really do wonder where all the confidence with JD Booty (USC basically eliminated the handoff from the playbook in the second half against Michigan) if both his starting two flankers leave. A lot of fans here on the West Coast still remember the total atrocity that was the UCLA game.
 
Colbert made a great point tonight: Gators, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves for emboldening America's enemies. The Buckeyes were number 1, just like America, and number 1 is supposed to win.
 
So what were the final standings of the bowl predictions anyway? I know AlCosta won, but what about everyone else?

21-10-1: CFC Sports average (we had eight posters on each side of Tulsa/Utah, so I just called it a tie :dunno:)

20-12: Azale, MattBrown, Ginger_Ale
18-14: shortguy
17-15: Black_Hole
17-13: pawpaw
14-18: Darkness

So even though AlCosta won on wins and losses, he actually tied for last amongst those who weighted their picks (he also had the biggest upset, losing 31 points to Boise State).

Georgia and Kentucky scored the biggest upsets according to CFC Sports posters; we went 15-1 against both of them.

That's about it 'til next year, I suppose . . .
 
Hah, so had I just had a little confidence in the Gators, I would have tied for first. Ah well, live and learn. :) Nice job, AlCosta!
 
I think we should look at the final standings and have a poll on who should be number one...

They are to seperate issues, and your bordering on troll level if you havn't reached it yet.

The things I discussed were TWO seperate issues. Follow me here before you flame me some more.

1. Boise State deserved to be in the Fiesta Bowl due to thier undefeated season and domination of most good opponents. They proved they could ONE DAY compete for the NC because of thier win over Oklahoma and that they deserve to be in a PLAYOFF. THATS what I was talking about in the second post you quoted of mine. I was talking about a playoff.

2. Boise State DOES NOT have any claim to the National Championship this year, because thier schedule, while good enough to get into the Fiesta Bowl by running the table, does not have nearly the merit that Florida's did. Florida beat several top 10 teams and destroyed the wire-to-wire number 1, Ohio State. I was venting against ESPN and thier sensationalist and idiotic journalism. They are two SEPERATE issues.

I would appreciate if you would not take my posts out of context. Oh, and for your information, how often have I talked about the Big 12? Oh yea, thats right. My team is Texas, my conference is SEC. I have vouched for the SEC all year long, and have for years. Notice the CHRIS LEAK avatar? Jesus...

Who IS your team anyway and why did you single me and my "supposed" conference out?
