Comic Books: High or Low art?

yes comics, are definitely an art form, not only the previous mentioned, also a lot of european ones, especially french ones like Moebius or Hermann

I think both. Cartoons, like comics, can be used for children or adults.

The best one I've read so far is Art Spiegelman's "Maus". The black and white, the story, the characters, it's perfect.
