Coming Soon from Sword of Geddon productions inc.

Alright I'm going to rerender the attack with the suggestions Bjorn suggested, plus a muzzle flash, but no smoke, I need someone wise and generious to step forward and offer their help when it comes to the smoke though.

After that I need tips for the death animation. I want this guy to be something everyone uses, not another flop.

The shouldering is not correct
He doesn't hold the gun in a natural way
And you still have the recoil incorrect. Recoil should make his right shoulder move slightly backward, the arm raise a little.
It has no reason to have the whole torso bend backward!!
Also, when firing, you generally have one foot in front and one behind, to have more balance. You don't keep your two ffet on the same level.
Have you already used a rifle?

MayanSpearPreview.jpg

A spearman for non-Aztec Mesoamerican civilizations, particularly Mayan. Any creative people out there have any ideas how to handle the civ color?

looks great swoggy

i would make the blue sections of the neck thingy and the blue parts of the belt (maybe) civ coloured. perhaps the part of the shield between the central gold bit and the dark line above centre. you dont need much civ colour to be able to identify a unit

good luck :)

the green, make the dark green and bright green one civ color.
I'm with you. The civ green could change color from tribe to tribe and still complement each other. I would also change the blues to a darker shade of civ color. There are around a dozen or so shades of civ color available.

How come he isn`t a PDM? Nice design :)
Because he is wearing M3 props which fit best on M3.
It is possible to adapt M3 props to the Paper doll. The biggest advantage for doing so is that PDM is a stocker figure which often works best in game. But, there is no rule that says PDM must be used for poser units.
My norse axeman was a modifed version of PDM. The troll is not PDM. The troll has been easier to animate.

Yes the Aztecs had flags signtififying which army of warriors belonged to which commander, your right Shiro. Good thinking. I think I'll go with the collinder idea. I'll make sure to go with a non-blue civ color, like red.
Maybe experiment with that ShiroKobbure and go with the existing green as civ color? I think it would work and look pretty good. A civ colored cylinder (a collinder is something else) on the spear would have limited visibility in some of the facings. Should be quick to test, since you can recolor render 2-3 stills, and than do it again with different colors.

Also, on the model... would you be able to keep the props on him if he put on a few lbs?
