First, its looks amazing with all the new icons, its a complete new feeling, really awesome.:clap:

I played one game with the first upload till round 300 diety, immortal marathon, pangäe.
This mods have i played and its looks all fine.

Also the loading time for a new game looks, like before G and K, but the time during the Rounds is faster.

One thing needs a fix, austria is to powerful. She was more then 300 point back me( i was first), then he married 2 city staes in 2 rounds, both on the border of siam. Hell, she climbed more then 200 points up and still got 5000 gold and 500 gold per turn.
She declared war to siam, and i bet she would killed him very fast, but i stopped playing and go to sleep.
Next time i play the newest version of CCTP.

P.S.
I played with Maya, and get really early a great merchant, send them to one CS, and hell i earned 19000 gold, on marathon. Wow. Also the ai is giving me 40 gold per turn for one resource in the beginning. Maybe this need some fixes. But it helps a lot on immortal and higher)
 
Tracked that belining down, its due to goodyhuts, since most techs all through eras are available via goody hut's. Turn 35 atm and no 1 has got to Classical yet, where before it was 4-15 turns.

I just added a SQL to reset goodyhuts to ancient only techs:-

Sent ya a email Chrome, with a modbuddy compiled CCTP(3.05), added some stuff to the readme(brief list of features taken from PCTP OP, and your about CCTP from OP) also added a thanks.txt and listed every one from PCTP & CCTP OP's.
 
Awesome, thanks Horem. I'll add the sql in. I was also thinking about adding in a Tech or two for the Science Tree for Ancient Era to cut lengthen it out a bit. And hold on to the modbuddy; there are just a few more things that need to be patched up before it goes to the Workshop.

@ Gilgamesch yeah the load times increased again with the Tech Tree; I guess it's too much awesomeness for the game to load :lol:. The Diplo Marriage is something that I have been looking for but I haven't had much luck finding where to mod it. I agree that it is way too cheap currently. 19,000g??? Yeah, that needs to be reduced. As for the resources, the AI should only be paying 2x that of the base game (so luxuries would be 480g). I don't know what that translates into for marathon, but I doubt it's 1,200g.

General question: What image do you think represents CCTP best for when it shows on the Workshop? I was thinking about the screen showing the five tech trees, but that's only meaningful if you know what they are. The government page would be good too, but that only encompasses one aspect of the game. So, is there any image that you all feel defines CCTP?
 
Cant ya take an image of them both and merge them together? 4 would prolly look nicer, with borders ect :). I Could do something basic with paint.net

I am having issues starting a CCTP game with Civilization 5(Includes G&K and all DLC). The mod seems to load fine but whenever I start a new game, it is a regular G&K game, not CCTP...no separate tech trees, new resources, etc. I tried clearing my game cache and Moduserdata, but it does not help. What steps should I take next? I downloaded the latest version from GitHub today, July 15, 2012.
 
Welcome to the forums :wavey:!!! I must say it is an honor to have your first post in almost 2 years of membership :D

Horem is our resident problem solver, but I think I can go over the basics. First and foremost, did you enable the mod (click the green circle with the check mark). Sorry if this sounds remedial, but I've never heard of the mod just not showing up. Can you post your Database log (My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Logs/Database)? If nothing is working, it is probably a Runtime Error somewhere. I know this isn't much to go on, but I trust Horem will give better solutions if these don't work.

I was really hoping that someone would mention them :D. I think I'm finally getting the hang of the whole art thing. Not all of my images are up to sukritact's level, but they do add a little flavor to the game. I'm glad the work is appreciated :D
 
Thanks for replying back so fast Chrome-rome. Yes, the mod shows up as green/enabled in the mod menu. I verified my Civ 5 files and no issue there. The mod is installed in "C:\Users\Name\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS. I enabled mod so it shows a green checkmark, then it shows that CCTPP is enabled in singleplayer, then I click back, then go to single player, then setup, and advanced options to customize a game, then press start...the game loads super fast like its not evening loading a mod like CCTPP and the game starts as a normal G&K. I dont know what the issue is. I believe I installed everything correctly. It wont let me attach my database log. So I copied and pasted the info into post:

You need to click Next not back :), there should be about a 20s pause after you click next, maybe bit longer depending on your comp specs. After the pause it should give you a menu of "Single Player" or "Load Game". Click Single Player, then either play now or Advance Settings. Once you have started a Game and it is loading up, it will probably take twice as long to load up than a normal game of CiV, usualy about 90s more than the voice over of the Civ you choose.
 
Thanks Horem. I got the mod working finally...I guess the single player button was a new addition since the last few patches...I always looked at the bottom of the screen haha. Ill get in a game tonight and give an update on bugs...would you like me to suggest some additional techs for the Economics tree too? since Chrome-rome said its kinda empty after industrial age...

Here are some suggestions for possible additional technologies for the Modern Era/Industrial Era:

Outsourcing=+Gold for each Conglomerate.
Black Markets=Gambling Hall Building(+Gold, -Happiness).
Online Shopping=With shopping mall in city, gives gold bonus.
Modern Investment Strategies or Offshore Investing=Brokerage House Building(+Gold).
Government Intervention Initiatives/Programs=+Science, +Gold.
Tourism Industry=+Gold, +Happiness corrolated to number of wonders in Capital City of your Civilation.
Fast Food Industry=McDonalds/Fast Food Restaurant(+Gold, +Faith,+ Happiness)

Thaishmafia, I'm glad everything is working for you :D. You have some really good ideas. The thing for Outsourcing was something I was intending for a Wonder/Policy, but giving happiness instead of gold (only for Distribution Center, Conglomerate, and Monopoly). The Tourism thing with Wonders is a good idea (I think it's possible through xml), and I'll definitely add in the Investment Strategies.

Ironically enough, a Casino icon was the first one that I made. I could probably do a better one now, but it just might be the one used for nostalgia :lol:

Hey Chrome-rome and Horem,

Bugs/strange issues found so far:
1.) Under "Calendar" Technology description...it says it "allows workers to construct plantations on luxury resources etc. Is'nt that description for "Economys of Scale" Technology? since E.O.S. Tech unlocks the plantation terrain improvement.
2.) Under the Social Tech Tree the Modern era skips directly to the Digital era and the Information era follows Digital era. I think its supposed to be Modern>Information>Digital like all the other Tech Trees.
3.) Under Social Tree...while Im in Medieval Era, and it gives me option to research "Televangalism", however its is 17 times longer than the current tech I can research at the moment. For example, most of my current techs cost about 500/600 points but Televangalism which is in Modern Era and costs 9400 points. Im guess your still adding techs to Social Tree too.
 
1) That is one thing that I haven't gotten around to: changing the Text files on Vanilla stuff (units, buildings, wonders, and techs). Since I'm constantly changing things, I would find it extremely tedious to go in and change the text every time. So for now, just go with what the building yields and help files say; sometimes the extra text is correct, but it's not always.
2) Wow, good catch! I guess I have a bad entry somewhere.
3)Another good catch (why did you take so long to start posting????). That is a huge slingshot (Renaissance > Modern). I'll have to put some more techs in the way :lol:.

Honesty, thank you for pointing these issues out; who knows how long they have been present.

And everyone else, I'll post a new version on Github tomorrow which takes care of these issues and a few others that have come up. Horem, this will in all liklyhood be the version we throw to the Workshop, so after you play for a bit (and make sure all of the main issues are fixed), please build the mod so we can be all "official."
 
Apology: Sorry CCTPP team, I should have posted much earlier lol...I play CCTPP alot but never really got into the forums until just recently. Ill continue bug hunting to make CCTPP more stable, clean, and help decrease some of the work off your guys shoulders.
