I looked over Persia's events, and thought that it was missing out on truly "Persian" style events. I realize these events are sort of meant to fill in aspects of a civ that is symbolic of its counterpart in a later age. I can see that the event with the elephants may be a recognition of sassanian war elephants, and that the democratic reforms may be a reference to Iran during the 70s, and the Age of Learning may be a reference to how Persian literature played a key role in launching the Islamic golden age. I suppose it was missing out on a lot of things that truly applied to Persia and Iranian civilizations throughout history. I mean, Byzantium gets their Theodosian Walls through these events, Darius III not getting the very "Royal Roads" and Satrapal network he was known for is just, I don't know. A big miss.
Namely three things. The use of heavy cavalry over traditional infantry, the famous "Royal Road", and the even more famous "Satrapal system." I thought that perhaps, all these things can be efficiently integrated into existing reforms through this way.
The "Elephants" event is renamed into something like "Royal Military Reforms" or "Assemble the Zhayedan" to represent the most iconic aspects of Sassanian military reforms. Instead of just spawning 3 elephants and some ivory, the event spawns 1 ivory and 1 elephant, and two heavy cavalry like Heavy Skirmishers or even Byzantine Cataphracts. This way one event can "check" the Sassanian aspect of Persian history, at least militarily.
The "incorporation" event is reworked into an all-in-one recognition of Achaemenid imperial reforms by establishing free caravansaries in all cities (royal road), and making all cities provide the capital with a balanced amount of gold and culture, perhaps +1 each to represent the seasonal gathering of satrapal tributaries in Persepolis, which was the city's sole purpose. I think it would be best renamed to something like "Satrapal Administration", "Administrative Reforms", "Royal Tribute".
And lastly, I noticed that a lot of the decorative writings never mention the phrase "King of Kings". I think inserting this reference once or twice throughout the descriptions of Persian events will really, really enhance the immersion provided by them very efficiently.
I hope this does not come off as overwhelming and rude, because I just want to help make your mod even better. Please let me know if this was quite alright in your opinion! (^_^
