Community Patch - How To Install

When will this mod be updated to work with the version I'm using (I didn't know which number to include so here is a cropped screen shot), I imagine it is only a matter of time. I have tried downgrading civ, but nothing has worked. I'm on mac by the way.

Hey I'm having huge problems with this mod. when i load up my game the (1) community patch doesnt even show up in my mods folder(in-game) even though i have it downloaded and it is in my mod directory. any time i try to play a game with the other mods selected it just crashes right away without even loading the game. can anything be done or should i just give up on this mod?

Hi ! I've installed Vox Populi with EUI using the auto-installer, but there is only the EUI that works. The changes in policies, leaders UA, tech tree don't appears. I play in English language. Any solution please ?

That's typically happening when you have another mod with the same mod ID in your MODs directory. Typically the WHoward's DLL. If you want to be absolutely safe, delete all mods and unsubscribe all mods from Steam (you can favorite them, so that you can subscribe to them again later).

Are you sure that you are not pressing the back button after you activate the mods? It looks as if you were launching the unmodded base game (you would not be the first one - see the previous page in this thread)

This worked thank you so much! i know what mod caused the conflict so i just got rid of that. im very excited to use this mod for the first time now!

Hi there i have auto loaded the file and now have Docs-Games-Civ5-mods folders with all mods in there inc EUI the issue i seem to have is when i go into the game and select mods i can see them all but the tick box is greyed out and when i hover over it it says "this mod is missing required dependencies" so it wont work.
Can anyone help or offer advice as to what i have done wrong?

Also i want to play this in multi player mode will that work?

Thanks!! :)

PS this was a fresh install with no other mods, i have cleared cache and am at a loss

Hey all I'm having a problem with the tech in this mod. It seems that when i get to the industrial era instead of discovering my currently researched technology, it just overflows the research. for example, if a tech costs 20,000 research I'll end up with 23,000 research towards it and it still says 1 turn until i either use a great scientist or go into IGE and just give myself the tech. Even when i switch researches it still will say 1 turn remaining indefinitely.

Hello, fellow settlers.

I need your help.

I'm a returning player to the "community patch" mod (was playing Civ 6, not satisfied with the game, decided to return to Civ 5 :p), but for some reason, despite my best effort, i can't play this (awesome) mod :x

After installing the mod via the Automatic Installer (Vox Populi (5-11-1).exe, selecting the "Vox Populi with EUI" version), launching the game -> mods -> click click click the little box -> start the game, my game crash after ending my turn.

I tried re-installing the mod, deleting my cache folder, even tried a manual install, but so far, no luck :x

I believe i must have miss some steps during the install process, (this thread indicate, in the Manual Installation Checlist, to delete some LUA file if i'm using CBO (this is my case if i'm not mistaken), except, i don't have a LUA folder in the concerned folder.

Any kind soul willing to help a returning (idiotic? ^^) player ?

Thank you

Clear out all mods from the mods folder except the VP mods. Make sure you are running .279 version of Civ.

Thx Gazebo for the quick answer.
I have the last version (1.03.279, i have the steam version) and did like you ask, unfortunatly, no changes :x

To be sure, i clean my cache, delete all mods from the /mods folder, reinstall the Community patch with the installer.
I have 6 folder in my /mod :
(1) Community Patch
(2) Community Balance Overhaul
(3) CSD for CBP
(4) Civ IV Diplomatic Features
(5) More Luxuries
(6a) Community Balance Overhaul - Compatibility Files (EUI)

After that, i remove the LUA folder from my "(6a) Community Balance Overhaul - Compatibility Files (EUI)" folder (following the instruction from the "Manual Installation Checlist") start the game, activate the files, still crash at the end of my turn.
Maybe i 'm not deleting the proper LUA folder?
I did try to start the game with and without this LUA folder (by restoring the files from the trash) but no change.

Crazy thing is, i was playing this mod 9 months ago, don't remenber having those problems.

Any ideas? ^^

Don't remove the LUA folder - you don't need to. Just run the installer and play.

I delete the files/cache, run the installer but still no luck :x

I will try a fresh install tomorrow by reinstalling the game.

Thx anyway, now, i know i just need to run the installer and nothing else. :)

Edit : it's working ! :p
Did a reinstall of the game, it appears some residual files were still present. So after deleting them, installing the mod, now everything works fine. Right now enjoying a fresh game with the shoshone :)

Hey guys, I have a compatibility issue. For some reason RED Modpack won't work (save game won't load) alongside this mod past turn ~200, around the mid-late renaissance age. I can keep playing past turn 200 with no problems but I can never reload that save. I did a clean install of everything and it still won't load the save but can keep playing. Humorously I can load up the save without RED installed/active. The RED/CPP crash only happens when both are active, if one or the other isn't active it's fine. Unless there's something I missed about making RED compatible with CPP? Will keep looking around, trying stuff. Thanks.

I haven't been able to use the auto installation recently. Is there anything in my system that is blocking the installation. The patch completes but no files are installed and I get no error message.

Manual installation is a pain as I can't get it to work this time. I can't open the diplomacy circle by clicking on the diplomacy icon (f4 does works), and no dialogue lines appear when I try to chat with the AI. I get error messages that (6a) Community Balance Overhaul - Compatibility Files (EUI) file name is too long (not sure if file is extracted in full).
I'm also not sure what do I do with this UI_bc1 file. Finally, I changed a setting by mistake so that now all the .info files are opened by Notepad (not sure if this matters).

Please help as I've spent hours trying to get this to work.
