No. VP massively updates Tech Tree and any other mod that changes the tree will mess things up. Also, you may just try, it takes like 5 mins.
 
Been trying to get the mod into multiplayer and ran into a small issue. City states always start at 36 influence, rather than a random amount. Single player through the mods menu works, providing variable influence amounts. It's just when trying multiplayer that I run into the issue. Have remade the modspack a few times just in case. Also reinstalled the mods/only used VP when making a modspack.

Has happened with and without EUI. Using the 12-15 install from the auto installer link.


I've also noticed some inconsistency in regards to a city being able to fire at units within two tiles. Some of the time it seems to require the enemy unit (just barbarians thus far) to be within the borders, but I'm fairly sure there were other times that it worked normally.

So I overall love the mod, however the changes to City State Diplomacy is a mixed bag. Mostly because the AI spams a neverending stream of diplomats and constantly votes for "Sphere of Influence" stuff in the World Congress, which I hate on a theoretical, mechanical, and practical standpoint.
Is there some way to disable that? In theory I like the changes to diplomacy to actually conducting diplomacy, but the World Congress options are terrible for singleplayer games just outright, and the AI diplomat spam just makes playing the City State game far more trouble than it's worth.
 
I've been having an issue with the event system.
Every time an event happens it will give me the notification on the bottom right and say "A city event with multiple options has occurred" but when I click on it nothing happens. At first I thought it was the event mod, Sukirtact's, I was using so I disabled it. It was still happening after this and I saw the option that came with VP during the game setting so I disabled it. With all event systems disabled I'm still getting the pop up which effectively ends the game since I cannot advance until I make a decision but I am unable to.
I'm looking for advice on the issue. I'm using VP with the EUI and I did delete the LUAs as instructed. I've attached a list of the mods I'm using as a picture, everything was from the compatible list or compatible with work list so I'm not really sure if another mod is the cause. I've also deleted the cache between the changes just to be sure. I didn't have this issue before the update on the 13th.

There must be something wrong with your install, but if you want to get rid of the events, just delete the Events folders in the Modules folders in both (1) CP and (2) CBO. Not on my computer, so I cannot check the exact folder structure, but they are easy to find.

It's saying that this mod is not compatible with my version of the game. I have version 1.0.3.18
do i have a lower version?

Please update Civ5 from Steam, the latest version is .279.

EDIT: You also need all the DLCs. And just just in case - piracy is not welcome here.
 
I have a problem where civ says that the current version of the mod is incompatible with my version of civ. I have verified the integrity of my game files. Thank you!
 
Would it be possible for you to turn the latest version into a zipped file as well as a .exe one? My computer can't run .exe files but can use them if they're zipped.

If you have a computer that can’t run .exe files you can’t run VP anyways. Windows only.
 
Hey guys, I'm sorry if I missed out on the answer, but I was wondering if you know where I could get 1.0.3.279 version of the game? I am playing a non-steam CIV 5. I have recently reinstalled my Windows and now trying to reinstall this patch too, but I have an older version of the game and I can't recall where I got the required version from.

There is no such thing as a non steam version of the game.
