For Community Patch only, use the latest EUI version (1.29h).
For full VP, use the one bundled in the installer.
It should be in the file that describes the mod and list the references and dependencies. It is the file that contains the text that you see in the mod list in the main menu.Is there a way to actually see/verify somewhere that what I had installed is 1.0.3 version? Some file to check or something?
Also, on the installer I see 1.0.2 version so just wondering if this as it should be? This is the file dloaded from the google drive link

Does the installation go same way in both cases if you have previous version already installed and when you don't have any version installed?
And what about case when you have some of the previous versions installed but they have never worked at all?
Actually most versions do work for a great majority of users, so I'd suspect some kind of mistake on your end. Nobody knows which one.......

As the installer for version 1.0.1 is still b̶u̶g̶g̶e̶d̶ limited if the game is installed on a drive other than c: I would like to share the following workaround so that you dont have to copy files manually after each update:
mklink /J "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC" "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC"
Verify that the paths are correct for your system, and run this command as administrator.
This resolves issues with Vox Populi when you get errors like:
"Unable to load textures [DC45_DiplomacyOverview.dds]"
"Unable to load textures [DC45_AdvisorCounsel.dds]"
Exactly I have had this issue in my last couple of games. It is not the game itself, but the startup popup message that come sof when you start the game. It causes an issue when closing the game.VP runs fine on my machine, except that - after exiting to Windows - if I try to run Civ 5 again, I get a message saying it is already running; if I go into Steam, it still shows as running.
Is there a fix for this (other than restarting my machine)?
Edit: Never mind, verifying integrity of game files fixed this.
