Are the tooltips for the American and Assyrian unique buildings broken for anyone else?

I think this is a consequence of the EUI tooltip files not being properly overwritten by the EUI-Compatibility tooltip files. Ideally, the Modpack should overwrite EUI's files with all the compatibility modpack lua files in order to guarantee that things are loaded properly.

Hi

I still have the problem when I use CommunityPatch only + C4DF 3/9 & EUI 1.28e.
The interface is broken as you can see on the screen & when I enter in the city interface I can't go out :(.

Someone have an idea of what can cause this ?

Please try deleting the CityView.lua from MP_Modspack\UI
 
Friends and I trying to play using the CPProject Full EUI 3/9, and get desyncs every 1-2 turns. Happened to us twice now. Our settings are normally:

3 Humans

5 Prince AI

Barbarians ON

Transparent Diplomacy ON

On a Fractal map, at standard speed. Everything else is default. Anyone else have these issues?

We have not been using logs, but if there isn't any immediate solution that someone else has already found we'll go turn them on. All of us are deleting everything Civ related right now, and reinstalling to see if that fixes the issue.

What could be causing something like this?

Also one more thing to note, we were using 1/23 before this. Whenever we tried loading a game (around turn 200 or so), one of us would be unable to move or take their turn at all. When they quit, everything would go normal, then when they rejoined someone ELSE would be unable to take their turn. Will update if this issue happens as well in this update!

Also when I finish the liberty policy it give me a great engineer. I never had the windows for the choice.
I try this many times with IGE to test & I have the great engineer every time I finish Liberty.

Because that popup desyncs in MP. That's Lynnes's doing.

Lots of things can cause it, but internet connection and version mismatch are the two biggest culprits.

Definitely, absolutely turn on logging next time you play.

With fresh installs, still happening every turn. All of us have at least 10 down 50 up. We're all turning on logging now
 
I have a feeling the answer to this will be no, but just to be sure:

If I play this online with someone, and one of us used the EUI version, and one doesn't, will that cause any weird problems? I doubt it, but just checking.

Here are the logs from Player 1 (host), and Player 2 (me). Player 3 wasn't able to save his logs.

The 3rd zip was from a time we crashed in the initial loading screen too (upon starting game)

Any idea what the problem could be? We'll likely go back to 1/23 till then

How is the interface not normal? Yesterday I've tried it myself and I did not notice any difference..
Hm, I think next time I will just include EUI to the CP only version for maximum compatibility, since most people will use EUI anyway.

It appears to be an EUI problem. Just now tried with 1 friend, trying EUI version first. Had a resync every 1-3 turns. We then tried it again with the non-EUI version, it worked (and is still) working flawlessly. No resyncs at all.

Haven't gotten around to doing a non-modded game yet, but will soon if it's still needed

If you watch the attachment, you can see the icons on up-right are not the EUI icons.

For the CP with EUI in one modpack I think it's a very good idea.
 
Okay, we played 4 test games today. For every game the setting was
Quick, Small Map, 2 players + 4 AI, CS + Barbs on

1.: CPP Full 3/9 + EUI, 60 turns - first desync at turn 27 and from there on another desync every 4-6 turns
2.: CP only + EUI 1.28f, 10 turns - desync every 1-2 turns
3.: CP only + EUI 1.28f again, 10 turns - desync every 1-2 turns (same es before)
4.: CP only but this time without EUI, 60 turns - super stable, not a single desync! :woohoo:

I saved the logs from all games, just let me know which ones you need.
And do you have an idea already which part of EUI might cause the desyncs? A few EUI-versions ago we played with a modpack (based on VMC v72) for several hundreds of turns without any desyncs at all, so maybe it is one of the recent changes to EUI!


edit: the next thing I want to try is playing a modpack with CP only that was created with the EUI active! (so you don't have to delete any lua-files)
