@Deluxe: Hmm. It has both expansions, perhaps there are some DLC components I didn't buy twice. I didn't think of that. Pulling up the store, it shows V, G&K and BNW, but not all the misc DLC.

Yep, I saw that after Deluxe pointed it out and I went back and read the first post :blush:.

Of course, at the moment I can find a cheaper way to purchase Deluxe than just those DLC...
 
Interesting, I hadn't seen that. It doesn't help me at the moment unless deluxe goes on sale @ steam (I just see it for $12.99 @ the windows store). I'll keep my eyes open though, thanks!
 
Played a game with 2 friends yesterday, encountered a problem where any free things given by social policy ( tradition's buildings, authority's free settler ect) only worked for the host.
Tradition without the buildings was sad :(

Also, I have several times I had two or more diplomatic notifications on the right side. Clicking on one, accepting the deal, and then the others are not here anymore. I'm not sure they were not linked, but the deal in question was just a simple "open borders" deal.

Another one : I have a notification about renewing a deal, and clicking on it does nothing. I spotted one (A declaration of friendship between me and Gandhi), and it seems that I made a deal to Ganhi without knowing it ? ( http://i.imgur.com/WKzNvzs.jpg ). Of course if I open the diplomatic view with Gandhi I can't propose a declaration of friendship again, and it seems we are still friends. It seems the deal was renewed.

I'd like to confirm this happening to me too. I created a bug report on github for it before seeing this here, putting it in more detail.

I haven't had a notification about renewing a deal with DoF as above, to my recollection. The notifications are easy to miss when you have a lot of them.

PS: Is there a way to remove this offers-to-notifications function in a file somewhere? I can't find anything, and my current flow is to reject each trade to see the next, then reloading and manually offering those trades back to them.
 
Just read your bug report on github, and maybe a simple solution for this would be to un-bundle this type of notification in EUI?

@Gazebo: Do you know what notification type this is? I think it isn't NOTIFICATION_PLAYER_DEAL, since these won't be bundled by default.


edit: Ah wait, I guess it's NOTIFICATION_PLAYER_DEAL_RECEIVED, and these will get bundled!
Should I just remove the bundling for them in the next version, or do you think this requires some other fix?
 
Hey, in my bug report I tried removing the B from NOTIFICATION_PLAYER_DEAL_RECEIVED in Compatibility Files (EUI) (v 1)\LUA\NotificationPanel.lua. It unbundled the notifications, giving me a separate notif for each, but still kept the same functionality of closing both trades when I accepted one.

Hm, his latest activity was in february, so I don't think he will read it.. :sad:

Message him here and on github. I didn't do any of the work, and reverse-engineering his changes is not gonna happen. If it turns out that his fix was bad, I'll simply remove the active ai diplomacy again.

hi guys, created the account only for this info

i solved the multiplayer desync issue (loading screen after turn) in the multiplayer by disabling the improved barbarians altogether by deleting these files from the mod folder :

after that the multiplayer game is running smoothly ( 2 human players, 10 immortal AI players, huge map, raging barbarians enabled )

hope this helps

edit : if u leave the files there and just disable the barbarians ingame the desync issue will still be present

Barbs are still turned on, but you deleted those files? For the sake of empiricism, would you mind trying those files individually, in order to see which of them is specifically the culprit?

Broz again!

So, my mate and I took up Civ again, and we decided to try this mod once more.
We played MP_MODSPACK_3-9_CP

Quick, Duel, Terra
No Barbs, 1 CS

We both ran the game in Windows 7 compatiblity.
Desyncs: 0
Latency spikes: 0
Turns 330.

Literally the whole game without once losing even a fraction of stability. We assume it has to do with running it in win7 compatibility as earlier when we played as a group, we had all OSs from 7 to 10.
In a few days, we'll test it with 5-6 people and I'll report back.
