ComNESII: The Hour When Earth's Foundations Fled

From: Communist China
To: USSR

Can we borrow an eco point or two in the immediate future? Without your help, the communist spirit in china may not survive. We will repay you (with interest of course) in the future as soon as we've secured our standings.

Although we have agreed to form an alligiance with you, we cannot possibly sign a trade-embargo against Japan! That would be death for the Mongolian nation and people. I apologize.

Update I
1938
January - May

In the far East war continues. 1938 shall not be a year of peace for the people of China. Although the two significant Chinese powers have halted their war for joint combat against the Japanese it did not help stem the flow of the Rising Sun. The Japs pushed hard into the Nationalist mainland. Japanese marines landed at Wenzhou and forced a siseable pocket,The battle lasted 4 days as the Japanese bombarded the city and eventually attacked and sacked the city with heavy fighting. They also drove deep southward from their northern outposts. The Communists faired only slightly better. Japanese forces struggled to advance along the north of the Mao's territory as they were encircled by the people'ss army. They were however, more successful in breaking through the southern defenses of the Communist lines. The main factor for this is that Communist troops were buisy fighting with warlord states throughout the territroy "claimed" by Mao Zedong. Foreign annalists find this Mao's biggest mistake as it cost him valuable troops that could have been used fighting the Japanese.

Mongolia has begun a reformation. The Communist regime has begun to round up any traditional nomads and forcing them into it's budding cities. This caused distress amongs nationalists who were shot if they dissobeyed. The people of Mongolia are edgy they are to proud to go out like this...

New things are happening in South America. The Brazilian dictatorship has leaning more and more to Axis style Fascism. Propaganda flows like wine throughout the nation as Brazilian men sign up for the military. The first move made by Brazil is to annex the tiny republic of Paraguay. This put the other nations of South America on edge, especially Venezuela who is hoping to carve out it's own sphere of influence in South America, a continent ripe for war.

Madrid has fallen, lament! The Fascist Franco has finally taken the Republican capital after two years of siege. The battle was hard and bloody artillery and tank corps played a huge factor which ended in most of the ancient city being leveled .The Nationalists with the help of Italy flushed the Republicans out of Central and Eastern Spain. The Republic still exists in the south as brave men hold out and wait for battle. The socialist democracy's only ally seems to be France. The French entered the civil war suddenly and punched a sizeable hole in Nationalist territory. What the reaction will be from the Fascist sphere is yet to be seen.

The Third Reich has more to worry about than some feuding Spaniards right now. The Poles attacked Konigsberg in early January and made early gains. However the Wehrmacht responded mechanically and efficiantly as they retook Konigsberg and intended to hold in until reinforcements came from the fatherland. The Polskis made one last final push and entered the city. The battle will continue most likely for a few more months. Upon this sudden attack by "scum sucking jewish marxist scum" thousands of young Germans enlisted in the Army. It will be hard day for Europe.

Fresh German troops march to the Polish front

France, fearing the Germanic hordes has enforced the Maginot line with more troops and concrete barricades, whether these lines will work or not may soon be tested...

Czechoslovakia has succumbed to German pressure, the provinces of the Sudetenland were ceded to the Third Reich.

In the East Russia lays dormant, preparing...

The Albanian Government has collapsed! The monarchy under Zog I has lost control of the country as Fascists run rampant throughout the Balkan kingdom. Italy's generals look on with hungry eyes.

Turkey has declared war on Greece. While the Greeks were buisy fortifying their northern borders the Turks infiltrated the nation and gained small holdings in the east. A large Naval battle ensued around Thessalonika. The Turks sourounded the city and began a bombardment. The Greek navy, stationed in Crete, was on high alert and able to intercept the Turkish naval expedition. Greek Air wings also flew in but were beaten back because of poor maintanence. Could this be the rebirth of the Ottoman Empire?

The British have begun new projects with the ground breaking technology of RADAR. Surely their new complex will help them in the coming conflicts of the 1930s.

Sweden does some stuff to good effect.

So begins 1938 a year of blooshed, but this is just the begining.

Random Events

-Sweden's armed forces swell, volunteers join to defend their country as Europe sinks into carnage (+5 divisions)

-A famine hits the USSR (-1 economy)

-Brazil's new stance on conquest solidifies the loose Nation (+1 Culture)

-volunteers join the People's Army in Red China (+4 Divisions)

-Support for the Haganah Org. grows (+1 Culture)

OOC:

for futher orders i would prefer that you guys (especially those of you in the pacific) tell me how many divisions and such you are using to attack, it is much easier for me that way and better for you.

Excellent update! :D

Now for some Diplo:

To the Nations of the World:
From the Third Riech:

We ask that you do not intervene in the coming conflict with Poland, the poles have attacked us and we, as all nations would, must defend our soveriegnty.

To Czechkoslovakia:
From the Third Riech:

We are glad to see that you see things our way after all.

OOC: why wasn't Sweden's economy increased as ordered and with little reason how to increase it?

thank you Communisto

From: Italy
To: France

Withdraw from Spain now, you have no right to invade them. We thought you wouldve learned from the Napoleonic Wars...

From: Italy
To: Britain

What are your views on this unlawful invasion?

OOC: Do japan really have enough troops to invade (both) china AND keep their conquered land from springing up resistance? they hav quite a large area to cover... by resistance i meant guerilla forces

OOC: on the contrary, the raping of Nanjing only made the chinese people even more infuriated....
