I will continue to believe Tomb Raider is a myth until I see someone post an easily reproducable method of getting it. There are some people who have it, but personally I believe those to be the result of bugs or cheats.

@ Robert Smith: I noticed that you also have Tomb Raider left to go. I've included Egypt in several of my games, and went after them both early and late and have never gotten this achiement. This one has so frustrated me that I even started a game on a duel pangea map with just Egypt and myself (so I could keep an eye on them), and waited until the late game to destroy them, and still didn't get it. So, I'm wondering, is this achievement screwed up, or does the Egyptian AI just not build burial tombs?

Which, I guess, leads me to ask if anyone has gotten the achievement for Tomb Raider yet?

Following two are broken.

Model of Major General
--Train all units across any number of playthroughs
(Tested, still broken. Before the log files stopped showing up Lancers were the only thing not given credit for. Built like 3 of them post patch with no unlock.)

Tomb Raider
--Plunder an Egyptian city with a burial tomb in it
(All Culture buildings destroys when conquer but no achievement)

Umm I got it after capturing the Egypt capital in a game a long time ago. I do play on a Mac if that's got anything to do with it.

Perhaps it is a technical issue for the PC only?

I played a duel as Egypt (me) vs Egypt (AI) and I built burial tombs in my cities. I sold a city with a burial tomb to Egypt (AI) then captured the city, so I know there was a burial tomb in it to start. No achievement.

Congrats! Can you remember if you Annexed or Puppeted the capitol when you took it?
Any other conditions you can remember that may help us would be useful too.
Even an old save (although I don't know how compatable that will be now) may help.

I've built every wonder and it hasn't given me the Wonder Achievment. I've built Utopian, all national and world wonders. I played a game on Cheifton as Egypt just to make sure.

Bug or am I missing something?

Were you playing while logged into Steam? If you are offline, it won't log achievements.

Yes, I was logged onto steam. I have earned 64% of the achievments so far.

The Wonder achievement only counts a wonder if you see the popup, so make sure you aren't playing with the "reward popups" turned off.

I got it after completing the Hermitage for some reason.

Yeah, I built the Hermitage also. I think I've built everything at least twice. I emailed 2K, I'll let you know what they say.

Err... is the Civ 5 page for achievements showing a total of '0' achivements for anyone else? Might mean they're updating, as the main page (Civ 5 on the store) still has 149 achievments listed...

If you mean, the global achievements page, that blanks out fairly regularly; whenever I've seen it happen, the achievements were back within a few hours. When I viewed that page at the time of this post, I didn't notice anything new or different.

EDIT: In other news, according to the notes for the next patch (no ETA yet), Tomb Raider and Modern Major General will be fixed in that patch; this confirms what many of us suspected after they removed the other broken achievements but left those two.

Finally some good news!!!

ACHIEVEMENTS

* Fixed issue for Lancer that was stopping the Model of a Modern Major-General achievement from firing.
* Fixed issue with building type comparison that was keeping the Tomb Raider achievement from firing.

How do you get the "Khaaan!" achievement? It says "Run out of time to beat the Mongol scenario." I take it as meaning a time victory. I cheesed such a deity win by just taking out the two Chinese civs and wait out 100 turns. This unlocked the 5 other Khan related achievements, but no "Khaaan!"

Any ideas? From the changelog of the upcoming patch, it appears that one will soon no longer be able to win on time in the Mongol scenario.

You need to lose. Don't take anything and wait out 100 turns.

Thanks! That was easy. Global achievements are up again. I'm surprised that beating Mongol on Deity is the rarest achievement according to the stats.

I guess not all players knows what u can win TIME victory (most points after 100 turns). But this will not be possible after next patch
