I know you said not to think too hard about this game, but I want to clarify something: Does EP work like supply or like generated points every turn? For example, last turn I built 1 unit in Palestine and took West Bank. Now, I can build 2 units in West Bank IN ADDITION to the already existing unit, right (for a total of 3)?

EP is generated every turn. You have two points this turn meaning you can build an additional two units PLUS the ones you already have (a regiment and artillery).
