The Maraud Building is a structure which goes 100 metres up in the sky. It’s what is left one of the old hospitals of Core. It has a length of 1000 feet and a width of 400 feet, and was structured into several different wings. The central wing was one story lower than the rest of the buildings, and ran all the length of the Hospital, being more than anything an aisle communicating all the lateral wings. It was nearly completely flat, with no machinery, and was half a mile away from the docks, in a zone where it is the highest building.
There is the place Ray chose to practice. He had taken a mattress from one of the abandoned rooms and brought it up to the roof, where he painted a bull’s-eye on it. There he stood, with his bow, his arrow and his candle. He lit the candle and poured wax over the blood that covered part of the string. He then tried to practice a bit.
The arrow was placed, the string was pulled, the eye was on the target. Then, all of a sudden, a target was hit, a string was released, an arrow flew and a man collapsed. Ray just had had a very unsettling experience. Only an hour ago he was besides the shipyard’s fence, and a girl spoke to him. What the hell had just happened? He couldn’t get her off his mind, and he remembered...

"Watch out," she said. "You might actually kill a person with that."
Nervous, puzzled, Ray could only produce three words: “I... hope so.” And three more words: “Who are you?” And questions poured from his lips as he slowly walked backwards to the fence: “What do you want? What are you doing here? For how long have you been there?”
Questions, questions, QUESTIONS! Ray was baffled. He had checked several times and had seen no one but yet... was it possible that she had been the mysterious observer?
