No. When I stroll into the local Chinese restaurant with a six-pack in one hand and i pad in the other, it's the epitome of cool.
Although not exactly a restaurant, that is how a Bavarian "Biergarten" operates: You are allowed to bring your entire meal (although meals are sold there), but you are not allowed to bring any drinks, no matter whether it is alcoholic or not.
