Crimea - history repeats itself yet again

What is this thing around here that there is only one way approaching a reality? O.K. I get it; its been an emotional topic and people have invested a lot but still... My philosophy is that if I criticize someone I better be pretty good myself or well...

Just because someone may be somewhat hypocritical doesn't mean they don't have a point.

I've gotten tired of false equivalencies and "Don't throw stones from a glass house" stuff that's spread through these threads. It's comical when people want to tell the "West" to shut up "because Iraq" and what have you, yet when it comes to how Russia treats its territories that desire independence and Russia wants to keep them, things like the Second Chechen War, which is far more relevant and which Putin himself played no small role in, are untouchable subjects.

You may try  (Also, I corrected a little error in your post.)

EUIII has it's toll on me.

Anyway, besides that, I've never felt that history repeats itself in this case. We've got completely different factors, and the times and technology have moved.

I've never liked people who just say "Hey, here's the truth x is broken because of y" and don't give an answer how to fix it. It's all too bloody annoying.

I feel you bro but you can dodge the facts though. Lets start with seeing things as they are and we can think up some solutions then....
