So I did a test game for fun. Picked Huayna on a fantasy map. Crazy resources on and those resources were like gold and copper. This means that corporations are going to be sick with culture. To bad rice wasn't the crazy food resource otherwise sids sushi would have also been incredible.
Anyway on to the game. Always peace means that you can concentrate fully on the culture game and you don't have to focus on military (yes I was lazy). It didn't take long to get a great foothold and I was starting to flip cities like mad with all the wonders I was building. When corps came online this became even easier. However one thing will screw you over........always peace
When the AI is down to the last city he will get all his defenders in there and the city will never flip. I had Madrid for instance surrounded with 6 cities that were pushing out >1500
per turn and it still didn't flip for over 100 turns. I kept on pushing next turn just to see what would happen and the last cities would never flip, even with spies constantly spreading culture there, destroying buildings and causing revolts. I only wish I could bribe the units with spies but too bad that isn't possible.
So whatever you do, never try to get an cultural conquest on always peace
Found that out the hard. Or is there something I missed? Is there another way to make them flip with so many guards in there (Madrid was down to 2% spanish and 98% inca like for >100 turns).
