You could probably use the existing breakdown of CulDiv cultures as a jumping-off point, couldn't you? There's only so many ways to categorize the cultures of the world...

Regardless, I'm not totally sure what it is you're working on, but it sounds like it's outside the scope of this thread.

Ok, i've finally decided to do my bug report and ask my question here since the Discord won't let me post anything and I can't get in contact through any other means.

Alright so, i'm having an issue with Cultural Diversity, more specifically the unit dialog. Every single civ, even the original non-mod civs, are using the British/English unit dialog or not having any unit dialog at all, although after I spent practically a day or more scouring the files and realizing that all of the civs had mod compatibility already made for it, and I couldn't tell a difference between the one specific civ its working for and literally every other civs code.

Although it's probably going to be violating my personal levels of human rights to again type out my entire mod list, i'll do it anyways so you can get the best idea (or so I hope) of my issue.
(I also don't know how spoilers work on this website so bare with me here)

And on top of all this I have a probably dumb question, which is where exactly can I find Cultural Diversity Soundtrack add-on? I've looked everywhere and can't find it anywhere.

[* = The civs i've put the most focus on in this situation]

Probably a mod conflict, an outdated civ creating an outdated version of the CulDiv table causing their given support to fail; the implication of Sas' civ working is that it's the culprit, which is possible but surprising given that the CL civs are older and should thus have more primative support. You could use your database and stopwatch logs to determine the specific culprit, but it's easier for me to advise disabling civs starting from the oldest than explain the process of working out at what point the errors start to appear.

The Soundtrack should be in the mediafire link on the OP.

I had a suspicion that it was something or what not being outdated, i'll definitely start the process of elimination tomorrow once i've gotten some rest.

I had a fear that it would be through mediafire, never been a big fan of mediafire as it's borderline adfly, but i'll go ahead and go through it once I get this problem dealt with.

Thanks for the quick reply though, this entire situation had been stressing me out for a while just out a desire for flavor and consistency in the game, and Kaiser Wilhelm II's finest shouting "BLOODY GOOD SHOW CHAPS!" wasn't really hitting it home at all with me. Whatever civ it is, is probably a civ I never use anyways and usually just throw in there to give the game some spice against the sheer volume of real life civs.

Or Canada. It could always be Canada.

Edit: In all seriousness it's probably Arstotzka considering it's pretty old.

After slow and deliberate testing also known as "Disabling civs one by one until it works" I figured out it was JFD's The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (v 5) that was causing the unit dialog issue, and now the Jerry's are shouting Jerry again and it's beautiful.

Now on a somewhat related note i'm still experiencing an issue with Funny Valentine's United States of America, whereas he's not using the American unit models for R.E.D. and his unit dialog isn't even working e.g using the default shuffling and stuff unit dialog despite having the mod support code for both clearly laid out (as it says in the code, it was shamelessly stolen and modified from JFD's Lincoln after all). Any ideas on how to fix this specifically? It's not exactly as urgent as every single civ speaking like the English, but it would be a fix I would be very happy about in a later campaign.

Make sure the mod has references to R.E.D. and CulDiv I guess, to ensure its select statements (that it presumably uses) have data to query from.

Hello!

I need help trying to find where to download the JFD Cultural Diversity Core is located for download. The mediafire only has the soundtrack files and I really would appreciate if someone could guide me to the right download link/server.

I created this account five minutes ago to ask this question so I am sincerely apologetic if I am useless.

Thank you for your time.

Hi, just wondering how do I add more music into this mod 0-0
I really want to add certain themes from civ vi to certain cultures (e.g. civ vi england medieval theme to this mod western english themes)

You'd probably do better making a new mod, so as to save yourself the trouble of editing the existing .modinfo. The music files should be imported into the VFS, and will then be referenced by database pieces that you should be able to deduce from CulDiv's code.

Hello, I would like to know with Cultural Diversity v17, why some cultural ideals are present in some cultures like Classical with their Res Publica and the Colonial cultures don't have any? I am just running rise to power v55 and all the public JFDLC stuff from the google drive account. Thanks

Because Ideals that are dependent on old JFDDLC mechanics that aren't enabled aren't defined in the database.

Urm how do I import the music files into the VFS?

You can use Firetuner's Audio panel to see the name of the track playing, and you can use your logs to see if database errors might cause CulDiv's tables to be populating incorrectly. This thread has resources pertaining to both.
