Roosting Tree

I figured that Roosting Tree has the best long term potential as a wonder city in the game, as well as facing the combined Indian and Dutch border.
We should build a Mausoleum here and assure aggressive cultural war on our neighbors. Let us bury them all with our Mausoleum, and embalm their bodies in Camelotian vinegar before we put them out for display.

The Mausoleum costs only 200 shields, gives lotsa early culture, may win culture wars as well as adding three content cities to the city for future wonder races.

Roosting Tree certainly has potential as a wonder factory. The Mausoleum is a cheap wonder to build. However, since it's likely that we'll be going to war with the Dutch and/or Indians in the near future, wonders will have to be put on hold.

I think Roosting Tree would be a great location for the Forbidden Palace once we have enought cities. It is in the center of our current core and can prepare the way for a palace relocation (since we would rather not have the Palace at the edge of a pangeae.)

I would place the FP farther north, since we plan on going for a much larger territory.
However, Mausoleum makes perfect sense for a future 3-5 wonder city.

In this C3C patch version, it doesn't really matter where the FP is located in regard to its general effect on corruption. Its city should be one which will see benefit from the "FP almost as good as a palace" effect. It does not give a significant distance corruption benefit.

No... but you gain more by putting it in a 90% corrupt town than a 5% corrupt town. The trade-off is time to build of course. For this reason I would wait for an MGL and rush it. We will have more choice then anyway.
