Again a very good quiz.:goodjob: I have only one complaint, it seems to be bloody difficult!
I am going to submit, and I am going to get the full score on #6. That feels almost like cheating though, since during my making of my last one, I considered making one which was almost exactly the same - with the exception of one person.
I hope this quiz will generate a lot of interest, it is certainly worth it.:)

Very good! So far people have been having trouble with that question. I think luck doesn't count as cheating, though. Or else I would've cheated at the one about Vuia. I just think these guys are as important as the Norvegians and the Germans before them (well not like the Romans, of course ).

Well, too bad for them.:D

Of course luck is not cheating, but it helps to have it.

Must ... resist...the temptation to post yet another "Life of Brian" picture.
You are right of course about those Romanians, they are quite important individuals.

Aion improves his score by another 12p. So he still leads with 112.5 over Taliesin's 93.

oops thought I was in the message screen

I see 2 more possible submiters or do my eyes fail me? Will Ciceronian and Sydhe like to participate? The race is still open for quite a while. Or maibe you just like to keep it a secret 'till last moment... I thought people liked tanks :mischief:.

Looks like so. Sydhe just submitted and took the lead with 133p! Seems to me that everytime somebody new submits he takes the lead :crazyeye:...

I'm optimistic that my submission will spell trouble for those at the top. It's only half a submission too!

Well not yet. Although if you where to double your score you would reach the top :). So far you got 85p and are a bit behind.

But you were the first to tell me where the battle of Colenso was and all (q3). So far you've given only six of the questions a try and so I believe you might come back. Beware all of you...

So the list is: Rambuchan 85p
. ................ Taliesin 93p
. ................ Aion 112.5p
. ................. and the leader,
. ................ Sydhe with a great 133p

I'm still waiting for answers on questions 4, 8, 9, 11, 14 and 15. If I don't get any I will post some hints by Friday. So far submissions are open until Monday, the 10'th of April but most probably I will postpone it.

Also, Ciceronian, I'd like to remind you that you haven't posted the second part of the answers to your earlier quiz. I understand you have a lot to do, I just wanted to make sure you didn't forget :D. I read that one after it going obsolete but still I'd like to know if my answers where right :p. Thnx.

There should be a sufficient upgrade to my score to put taliesin in his place (sorry, nothing personal mate, you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time) but those were upgrades on two of the six questions I shot at. I'll have a dig at the others later.

Thanks for your efficient quizmastering. I fully intend to get more points of course.
Do that, but beware of getting more than 112.5 points! Remember, you want me to finish those Indian cities, do'nt you?

My, my, Friday already. And, as promissed, here are some hints to questions 4, 8, 9, 11, 14 and 15:

The guy in no. 4 was grandfather to a notorious Roman enemy. The answer was somewhere in my signature all along.

8. Here's yet another picture:

9. These guys are all famous in their common domain which has something to do with... houses.

11. For this I have no solution but to give you the answer myself: it's "Biainili". Translate that and you get the points.

14. Alright, people told me it might be a misspell so I checked it out and found it can also be spelled "naqara". Hope this form is more familiar. And it's not about philosophy either.

15. Well let's just say this theory has been on people's lips for very, very long and they still aren't sure about it.

Well that's all folks. Hope it rings a bell.

Whatever  I've fallen into a deep, deep slumber over those.

You should bear in mind that my first bash at the quiz didn't involve me dealing with the mythology question, know what I mean :groucho:

And Aion tries again and scores 5 more points. This brings him very close to the leader at just 15.5p. Seems the hints didn't help him much though.

EDIT: Oh and Rambuchan submitted too but I seem to have accidentally deleted the PM ...

just kidding. He scores a big 48p and that puts him into the lead with 145p :king:

What can I say? You served me up loads of points on a silver plate with the mythological question alone. As for the others, well, some I will never get. Ho-hum.
