Cumulative PM-based History Quiz III

Innonimatu opens the score with 61 points.

Dutchfire has submitted an answer, but without trying to complete the missing info for question C and D, so I'm waiting for him to expand it before counting the points.

Innonimatu opens the score with 61 points.

Dutchfire has submitted an answer, but without trying to complete the missing info for question C and D, so I'm waiting for him to expand it before counting the points.

When is the deadline? I can probably submit my first real entry tomorrow.

Update of the scores:

Innonimatu : 61 points.
Olav: 57 points
Otkel : 28 points.

It seems the uniforms are puzzling everyone so far...

For the deadline, I have not set it yet, I wait to get some more answers... Are we in a hurry?

Sydhe takes 2nd place with 93 points. He did not answer all the questions, but his answers were almost all corect, so he can still improve his score I think.

Smidgey: 118 points.
Sydhe : 93 points
Innonimatu : 61 points.
Olav: 57 points
Otkel : 28 points.

Sydhe identify correctly a few more things, for 9 points, and ... found the common points between the famous character, for 10 more points.

He now has a total of 112 points... But still not enough to take first place.

Common, just find a few more things... And you'll be there.

Smidgey: 118 points.
Sydhe : 112 points
Innonimatu : 61 points.
Olav: 57 points
Otkel : 28 points.

Not many attempt to solve the uniforms...

Looks like that module i got a 2:1 on last year about explorers came in usefull...

edit- picture rounds in anything are not my forte so it looks like this might be about as high as i am rising!

I don't think it would hurt anybody if the quizmaster showed some sign of life now.
It is questionable if it is such a great idea not to set a deadline for a quiz, even only a provisoric one. And as it seems like nobody is interested in this particular one anymore, perhaps the best would be to close the contest, present the answers and get the winner started on a new one.

Hey, I once posted a quiz which only one person attempted. I'm still sulking over that.

Whilst i know some more of the answers i seriously don't have the time to devote to creating a brand new quiz!

Thats pretty much why i havent answered more! though i do appreciate the effort that goes into making it :)

I'm still alive, but I'm sulking as few people were interested in my quizz

Those questions about heraldry and unifroms might be the reason. Many people can't identify a single one, and since they are the first questions, they get the impression that the whole quiz is very hard. Maybe you should start with easier ones and then progress to harder questions.

I'll post a partial answer right now ;)

BTW, would it be interesting to add unofficial competition of getting highest points below half of the maximum? Reward would be just the gloria. It seems that we have two class of competitors, and the lower one might be more interested, if they weren't competing just of not being the last.

And we have a new leader! That is, if everyone is making a 180° turn.
Atticus got one point by discovering that in E, all the people are men.
It may be right, but that's not the answer I was hoping for... So 1 point for a nice effort anyway.

Smidgey: 118 points.
BCLG100 : 114 points.
Sydhe : 112 points
Innonimatu : 61 points.
Olav: 57 points
Otkel : 28 points.
Atticus : 1 point

I'll post the answer at noon during lunch time, unless someone requires a delay

I'd eliminated Jerusalem because of the red background. I usually see it as white. Mad at myself for not recognizing Greece. Or Herr Zeppelin for that matter.

Great! :)

I would never have gotten the aircraft carrier answer.

I think I can get the next quiz up sometime early next week - say Monday or Tuesday.

Also, I've noticed that a lot of interest has died off in these quizes. I have a suggestion. I was wondering if maybe starting a new thread would help? Often new people are put off trolling through a really large thread. Should I start the next quiz in a new thread or just keep it in this one?
