Right, we're on the move once more. Here's where we're at now.

Development

• Ideologies - On the SVN. Just needs to be slightly reworked to fit the RevDCM standard
• DiplomacyInfos.xml - Frank is busy fixing the last file to have a working pre-beta released
• Buildings - Praetyre is working on this now. Please help him out with suggestions in the buildings thread
• Units - Bahmo is taking this on, and is compiling art. If anyone can help by providing detailed stats on the armor in use today, that would be a great help, so post in the units thread
  

To Do

• Features - I never heard back from Steve, as he was DVS' contact, so none have been done yet
• Events - We have enough good ideas for [URL="http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=276268"]events

• but none have been added
• Leader Art - We have a few good LHs, but most are placeholders that bear little resemblance to the leaders they represent. It would be good if this could change
• Building, UB and UU Art - Some UU art has been found here, but there's still plenty to find. If you've got some spare time, this is something nice and simple to be getting on with.
• Scenario - Mattygerst has the city placement finished, and his work is on the SVN. We're now just waiting for some other things to be completed before they're added

If you want to help, send me a private message, or post anywhere in the forum. If anyone wishes to take over leadership, I'm also open to offers, but I won't just give it away to anyone.

Ok, I think 10 for each is a little too many. I think 3 is more than enough. Remember that this is just the first greeting text, so things like "Your jokes do not amuse me" and "Our armies are as equal as a pound" aren't necessarily great. And while humour is good, I think you're going a little OTT with some of them, like Steve Harper's 9th one. There are a few spelling mistakes, but only a few, so I can deal with those when I see them.

• Units - Bahmo is taking this on, and is compiling art. If anyone can help by providing detailed stats on the armor in use today, that would be a great help, so post in the units thread
  

Erm, at the risk of rocking the boat. This time last year I was helping Sheep gather details on Armor, specifically APCs in use by various countries. I handed a fair deal of info to him, and then to be honest, completely stopped looking when it became clear that you guys were being a tad ridiculous in the amount of data you were looking to glean.

Let me say this loud and clear so that the message sinks in.

Trying to establish exact numbers of APCs or any other vehicle, currently in use by any Army, broken down by number and type is impossible and the poor idiot who tries it could concievably spend so much time on it that Civ for Facebook would've been released and made obsolescent by the time the poor bugger was done.

When I'm not on the Net I *am* an Armoured Corps Soldier. And I can tell you it takes a country's own army months at a time to complete audits on where it's vehicles are, what state those vehicles are in, how many of each vehicle type it has etc.

No-one here, not Sheep or anyone else, should be trying to nail down that information, which is indeed what was being asked for earlier. What you do want are rough ballpark numbers of formations utilising armoured vehicles, then decide on how many units per civ to represent this as.

If you want proof in the pudding that that statement is correct, just ask Sid Meier - Why do you think he CHOSE to represent whole armies using representative "units" in the first place?

Keep it simple guys, for the love of Christ. Or it'll be 2109 before you get this thing into Production.

In any case, we are of course working with ballpark figures. For one, it would be impossible to represent every single unit currently in active service without the game having a graphical meltdown. We have already taken this into account, which you would know if you had checked the latest version of sheep's spreadsheet.

However, if you're willing to give us some ballpark statistics, as they are indeed what we're looking for, please do
