The Mexicans is awesome. Good job, Leo

But maybe some bugs here

rev.477 AD1787, how can this farm exist on desert? This is Aztec and certainly it doesn't have Biology. In fact, you can't build farm on desert even you have Biology.

The capital ruins on civ switch bug still seems not fixed.

I think the implementation of Mexican UP is underwhelming.

IMO you should not Farm Hills instead of Windmill them even if you have Biology.

Mexican UP should be +1 :food: on Deserts and Hills like many have suggested.

Also, French Japan. o__O

Oh, unintended side effect of my implementation of the UP.

The capital ruins on civ switch bug still seems not fixed.
Damn. We're back to saving and reloading I guess.

rev.478, with VD & ECS, Inca's UB still terrace but not tambo.

maybe I should play SVN without VD & ECS?
Yeah, VD is causing the problem here because it overrides the SVN changes. If you're comfortable with that, open XML\Civilizations\CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml and search the file of the same name in your Modules folder. Then go to the CIVILIZATION_INCA entry and copy the unique building part from the former to the latter.

But there aren't any problems when I play as Mexico in rev.477, the UB works well...

Because Mexico doesn't exist in the VD files so nothing can be overridden.

Leoreth, the Mongolian UP should probably obsolete.

It's more or less the fact that it persists across the whole game that makes them overpowered.
So long as they're warring/picking off indy cities, they get a steady stream of cavalry units which they proceed to upgrade to Curs/Cavs.

Also, China balance is still skewed on the weak side, but it's mostly because after the first collapse, Thai/Portugal will often snag Guangzhou and it won't return to China.

Thai Aomen is pretty common in all of my games now.

Quick question - have the Conqueror event with the Inca and Aztec been disabled in the current SVN? I didn't get one playing with Spain in and making contact in 1300.

Uhm what are the conditions for Mexico to spawn? I cannot get them and it's boring to start american games and then play until 1800 to discover that Mexico isn't spawning XD

Only works after 1300AD, I think. You're one turn too early.
Exactly right. Ten turns after the Aztec spawn.

Mexico spawns in 1810 without any special conditions except that the Aztecs must be dead, of course (kill them with WB by flipping their cities to independents if you have to).

Later on it's probably a good idea to let the owner suppress their spawn by being stable enough.

With the new immigration mechanics, wouldn't it then make sense to leave Europe as the Dutch, and build a new world capital? Anyone tried that yet?

I don't know if I've committed it yet, but my recent addition of giving a free worker and defender when the AI founds a colony really had some impact. Now you actually see some developed cities with decent size on America's spawn.

Currently still doing some stuff with the resurrection mechanic (firstly, diving Rhye's huge method into several submethods, then making everything smarter and helping the respawned civs more (like restoring city infrastructure and giving a larger army than just some city defenders)), so it might take some time until the next commit.

By the way, what about their tech era? I remember long time ago when Egypt re-spawn with ancient or bronze age technology but not sure if it's handled already. Just ignore if that's already handled :)

I will also rewrite that, and probably base their tech on their neighbors instead of arbitrary tech groups.
