Current (SVN) development discussion thread

Yeah, that should have worked. Doesn't the folder have the green SVN symbols? Or any of its content files?

Yeah, it does. I'm just not sure what's been changed so far and haven't yet noticed any difference.

And you don't get the update command when right-clicking on these folders?

That's odd. I think I can only suggest the brute force solution of doing another checkout.

Fine, I'll tell you what happens.

EDIT: Hold on. Are you supposed to click SVN checkout on the 1.10 folder or the Mods folder itself?

Checkout: right-click on the folder where the new mod folder should be created (i.e. Mods).

Update: right-click on the folder you want to update (i.e. RFC Dawn of Civilization).

If I was supposed to do it to Mods, then why the hell didn't you tell me when I told you that I did it on the DoC folder?

Just tried it on the Mods folder. It warned that the 'target folder' (dawn_of_civilization) is not empty. What? But it lets me do it anyway. Now it gives the ole access denied error when I start it. So I'm back where I started.

Then do it in a folder where you have sufficient privileges. Do the checkout, rename the resulting folder and cut/paste it into the Mods folder.

Is Colombia ment to collapse in 1825??

It works.

Great.

New commit:
- corrected the Colombian stability and settler maps
- fixed the double mentioning of improvements in the civilopedia
- civic requirements now displayed symbolically in the civilopedia
- coast and river requirements for buildings are now displayed in the civilopedia

Yay! Playing right now.

EDIT: I don't see any Columbia. There's Brazil and Argentina, but that's it.

Columbia is a Respawn civ, and thus cannot be selected from the main menu. You need to start as another civ and wait for the chance to switch to them. The same is true for Mexico and Iran (though the latter can be selected from the menu in 1700 AD due to it existing on the map from the start). Columbia comes into existence in 1814.

On normal, it's the two turns after the Argentine spawns which offer you to play as Mexico and Colombia.

I loaded up a 1700 AD game as Brazil. Monarch difficulty and Epic game speed. No popup came up counting down the number of turns to spawn. It was complete darkness outside of the interface. I could see the repeating message about other civs taking their turn, but I don't think I was going anywhere so I got out. Is this a potential bug?

Is there any chance we'd get them right off the bat in the future?

I don't know what's causing this.

That seems to happen a lot in the 600 AD and 1700 AD scenarios. The turns still pass, and the DoM popup comes up after the autoplay finishes, so it doesn't really affect anything.
