[BNW] Custom texture doesnt work.

So after a lot of research i tried to change the texture of the frigate to Always use its Damage textures, for the Undead civ graphics.

i changed the texture in GrannyMaterialHacker, But in the game it still shows the same undamaged Frigate.
(i also tried to use NexusBuddy2.3.3, but it wont run for me for some reason)
I've given up on trying to figure it out, so im asking for help.

I am sure there's A LOT of things wrong with this mod, Since i am N00b at this.
But here it is.

Some info:
It's a modification of the Ethnic units mod, To include fantasy units.
It also contains some other things like some custom units, and Tile improvement.
All used to give more variation to civs.

Another bug is that the sounds for certain units doesn't work.

As far as sounds not working, it looks like you haven't set them all to VFS=true.

As far as the ghost ship, I looked at the pertinent sections of the files and opened the .gr2 in NexusBuddy, and an error isn't immediately apparent. I'm guessing you have an error in your file such that it doesn't get to the end of the file. (FYI, unlike XML, where the entire file is inoperative if there is an error in parsing it, when you're using SQL, each statement is run against the database and the file only stops processing at the point of failure.)

I'm not in front of a computer with CiV right now, so now I have to ask: Do you have logging enabled, and have you examined your database.log file? If it's all Greek to you, post it here.
 
I don't think Logging is enabled no, So should i enable it and run the game with the mod?

Sorry about the triple post. (ignore the previous 2 posts, i fixed most bugs in those logs)
anyhow, Thanks to the Database log i have been able to fix a lot of bugs, and i thank you for that.
How ever, i couldn't find anything about my texture problem.


The problem has to be with the textures/Gr2 files them selves.
I've been looking into nexusbuddy ect, and since the textures only bug out when i try to change something in the gr2 file.

Here, I changed this catapult as a test, and the catapult itself works,(since i did NOT change that in the gr2) But the 2 guys textures i DID change, turn up as Red/white squares.
Since the Unit works in game, the SQL code for replacing it is working, and cant be the issue.



edit: well i Managed to get the frigate working somehow, i used a New unpacked Frigate.gr2 to edit, (in mod buddy 2) so i guess it was the file that was corrupt or something?

Sorry for not responding earlier; I've been swamped. I'm glad you got things mostly working. If you're getting the red and white checkerboard, either you have a typo or the texture is missing from VFS. Make sure you have the texture set to VFS=True. The easiest way I've found to ensure your mod isn't missing any VFS entries is to look at your .modinfo file, search for import="0". If any textures/models/animations/sounds/fxsxml files have import="0" instead of iimport="1" next to them, you need to set those files to VFS=True in ModBuddy.
