Preturn. I abandon both Canton and Beijing so we can keep the strict 5CC part that we are up to. Why are we researching Nationalism when we could have been researching Military Tradition and getting calvary.

IBT. We kill a Chinese long. The Russians wanted ou Iron and I rebuffed them and they declared war on us.

Turn 1. I Trade Economics for Spices, WM, 60 gold, Military Tradition, and 5gpt, to the Romans. I trade Economics to Japan for Ivory, WM, 90 gold, and 5gpt to the Japanese. I upgrade 11 Knights for 330 and 4 pikes for 360. I take Xinjian. I kill two pikes and a spear. I lose three knights. I have Konigsberg building the Military Academy and ruch it with our MGL. We capture five slaves.

IBT. Not much.

Turn 2. We build the Military Academy.


I take Chengdu. I killed two pikes and two spears without losing a calvary. We had one Cav retreat though.

IBT. We just discovered Nationalism. We are now researching Fascism.

Turn 3. I upgrade the 7 Mucketmen to Riflemen for 420.

IBT. Not much.

Turn 4,5. I am missing a turn update, oh Well. We rest our troops so they can go and attack the Chinese again. I think our next target should be the American and clear our continent for good.

IBT. An American knight is killed attacking Hangchow.

Turn 6. We take Hangcho killing the two pikes in there.

IBT. An American knight is killed and one kills a defender in Tsingtao.

Turn 7. We take Tsingtao killing a spear. We now have coal. I am now protecting Tatung from being destroyed before the twenty turn limit so that we do not get a bad trad rep. I abandon Hangchow.

IBT. Not much.

Turn 8. Nothing of note happened.

IBT. Not much.

Turn 9. We build Newtons University.


Not much else happens.

IBT. Nothing.

Turn 10. We destroy the Chinese.


We are still at war with the Russians but they are no danger so i am thinking of bring the war to them as a result. We have Cavalry and they do not so we must act quickly to counter their UU.

Interesting set! With the Chinese gone, Abe is going to want to resettle the whole continent. Dunno whether we should make some colonies, burn some American cities, or just let him stretch out for a bit. For a second there I was wondering why we were researching Fascism, then I remembered what this game was all about. The AI loves that tech, so it's got some nice trade value. Suggest we just let Fat Cathy fume for a bit, as we have little to gain from sending troops overseas right now. What we could do is ally with one of her rivals on the other continent and let them burn up each other's units and slow their research. I also wouldn't worry about building too many cavs, as this game is going to be won with panzers.

Agreed. Either Ansar or azzaman need to take the save or it's just down to the three of us. Once again, here's the roster as I see it. EDIT: I see that Ansar is going to be paying attention to school for most of this week. So if we don't hear from azzaman soon I'll pick up the next turnset.

Notes: My suggested tech queue would be finish industrialization->electricity->replaceable parts->corporation->scientific method
I noticed some posts saying the main wars would be fought with panzers: it will actually be modern armor
Some cavs are ready to attack San Francisco (in retrospect maybe another should have been brought near there), Houston, New Orleans, and Baltimore; I don't know how much is worth attacking, destroying America so other (more powerful) civs can settle on our continent may not be useful (crippling them probably would be fine)

I'm still around, lurking. Had a crazy last couple of months. Still interested in this one. I won't say for sure that I can pick up tim's save, but if no-one else does, I'll try to play it this weekend. (Yeah, I know. I was saying that in July. ) Is anyone else still alive?
