In all the excitement surrounding the KISS letter, please don't forget that we really need to find out what options (if any) we have regarding Monarchy. Are Donuts researching it, when will it be complete, is it available for trade, and at what price?

It has been sometime since we have exchanged communications.
We here in MIA are eager to hear how goes your war? We trust that things are going to plan.

We were also wondering what Government the D-Nuts were planning on researching as we may be interested in entering into a mutually beneficial trading deal which could also expediate your research efforts by filling in possible knowledge gaps.

I had a thought about our offer (after we hear from them)... if we could get away with giving them Republic for Monarchy that would be ideal. Tell them we are probably going to Republic, but KISS is making us nervous, and we want Monarchy as a backup plan. We understand they need to be in Monarchy now, but they may eventually want to change to Republic.
Of course, we really want Monarchy, so if we have to give Currency and Map Making then we should, but if we can get away with giving them something useless, that would be better. We also don't want talks to drag on for weeks, but we will see how things go.

Methods ?
1. Discovered through research, most likely option ...

2. Traded, if this method then the only real source is from KISS.

I'm not sure how we should go about it, but I think we need to find a way to ensure that Dnuts does not reach an agreement with KISS. It would be devastating to have peace on the other island while fighting a winning war against KISS, only to have to defend another front against Dnuts.

I hear what you say ... these guys are very good at manipulation, they were palying KISS against us and it worked

RobiD77: sorry i've been slow to respond lately, its just both our ia and our fa have been away due to computer problems so i've been stuck with running the whole show for a while plus i've got a new position at work which has been takening up extra time while i get settled in

RobiD77: there are others who are pitching in, but i guess no one wants to take on the role full time. We do have elections for ia and fa happening over the next couple of turns, plus my 2nd term of turnplayer/general ends on 100. I think i'll be taking a seat on the back bench for a while

RobiD77: yes, they attacked as you said, from there not so unexpected direction and basically went nowhere, so much for them making short work of us

RobiD77: they came out of the jungle onto our turf and got beaten back. i believe they lost 5 horseman and 5 immos and we lost 1 mw, but had 6 with injured heavly, they are heeled up now and plans for a counter attack are being put into place

RobiD77: yeah we had a few go our way, especially when one of our mw's killed an immo that was attacking it, that was funny

RobiD77: i wouldn't be too worried since attack points count for more than defence points. Besides we get the feeling they might have their eyes on something else

RobiD77: well its just a feeling, but back about 20 or so turns ago when we discussed some deals they expressed an interest in TNT's furs. And since we've taken out a large section of TNT's military they might see that as an oppertunity to go for a bit more. Again i'm just theorizing we have not spoken to them for a little while, but it is a feeling we have since they were interested in getting map making back when we talked

RobiD77: well they lower THEIR DEMANDS for a peace settlement slightly, they no longer just want all our technology, but they are willing to swap. They still want gold per turn though which is a joke

Weird, we can now deduce 3 things:
1) Doughnuts feel safe in the War against TNT
2) Doughnuts are NOT pushing all their resources towards attacking TNT
3) They don't realize Temples are a waste of time and resources
