Dacubz145's Unit Thread

I thought about that, but the Austrians seem to lack flavour units, while the Hungarians are swimming in them.

So it will only be Hungary then? :mischief:

I'll see what I can scrape up for Austria.

For Austria:

Leaders: Maximillian I, Maria Theresa, Franz Joseph

Swordsman, Axeman, Spearman, Archer, Horseman, Chariot, Pikeman, Maceman, Longbowman, Crossbowman: Technically Crusaders, but they'll have to do

Think you should do austria, since I think theres already enouf hungary civs out there, alot more hungary things then austria things so it would be more interesting :D Also theres not many modern units for either, so if you request any i could do em

No! :p There aren't enough Hungary out here, it can never be enough, let the world know us! ;) Just kidding, you're right (but only bit :D).

Excellent selection! Good job on it! :thumbsup:

Just completed iar 80, the main Romanian fighter during ww2. This ones well overdue, I'll upload it along with avia s-199 once my Internet stops acting up, anyway in my opinion the iar is by far my best and most accurate skin yet due to the vast pics and info on the web

Not sure what your referring too? Never planned on doing it and it was never requested to me, maybe you have me confused with some1 else? If not I can look into doing it if ur requesting it

In that case, I'll make this a request. The Grumman F9F is a Carrier based cold war fighter for the US Navy. Thank you.

Thanks, feel free touse it! If you have an requests for that civ just ask

Wel, I probaly will, but nothing specific comes to my mind right now. But, big thanks for the offer.:)

I have one small request...
Silly me, I asked on "Unit request thread" anyone to make a Cannon unit but without crew/gunners, but I forgot to mention that yesterday. I suppose it won't be much of a trouble for you, having in mind these units you did just recently. So, as I understand, you only have to delete models of the crew, without touching cannon (except maybe skin, for team-color purposes). It's not just for Viking civ, more like for all civs.

I do believe that lies in the actuall XML, not the cannon itself. Go the the units info XML. Go to the art defines part of the cannon, there should be one that says art_defines_unit_cannon, and one that says something else (can't say right now since I'm on the iPad) probably something like art_defines_unit_cannon_crew something like that, delete that whole section and there ya go, I could be wrong since I still don't have my computer ur to a virus, but if that doesnt work I can do it for you later todayy

I hoped also that it's that easy - but unfortunately, it's not. Here is the part that defines unit:

<UnitMeshGroups>
<iGroupSize>2</iGroupSize>
<fMaxSpeed>1.75</fMaxSpeed>
<fPadTime>1</fPadTime>
<iMeleeWaveSize>2</iMeleeWaveSize>
<iRangedWaveSize>2</iRangedWaveSize>
<UnitMeshGroup>
<iRequired>2</iRequired>
<EarlyArtDefineTag>ART_DEF_UNIT_CANNON</EarlyArtDefineTag>
</UnitMeshGroup>
</UnitMeshGroups>
<FormationType>FORMATION_TYPE_MACHINE</FormationType>

No additional art files, and even if I download cannons from somewhere else, all of them are containing one art file, not just crew part or something. So yes, I would be very thankful if you do that for me. :w00t: No hurry, I guess I'll mod my civ4 at least until Christmas. :p

Any status for the Grumman F9F Panther unit?
