Damn your misconceptions!

I do believe sexist jokes originated for satiric purposes. That is, I think people thought sexism was so stupid, that it should be made fun of.

Of course nowadays, they appear to have degraded into a form of cyberbullying.

That Cyberbullying is a real thing.

Even Google Chrome spell check recognizes it as not a real word.

I'll bite on one of them.
1) Think of the evolutionary costs! Our brain is a massive calorie hog. It uses, if I recall correctly, something like a third of the average person's caloric intake just to maintain. Why would we develop something at such great cost if 85% of it is never used or redundant?
Evolution often prefers "robust" to "efficient". We have two kidneys, two lungs, two eyes, whereas we could do just fine with one. However, having two is an insurance.

Also, training goes a long way as far as both physical and mental exercise are concerned. To say "we only use 15% of our brain" is certainly wrong. To say "with proper training, we can dramatically improve our memory/ability to focus/consequently our mental capacity as a whole" is rather accurate.
2) Why do people with traumatic brain injuries often suffer from some sort of mental handicap? Surely the other '85%' can pick up the slack. Right!?
Sometimes it can...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phineas_Gage
4) Name one case where someone actually tapped into the 'hidden 85%' and developed super powers. Just one please.

Where are you getting that from?

It's just a cringey way of saying "bullying via the internet", which is pretty self-evidently a real thing.

Well sexist jokes are typically stupid. Not stupid in an "I think the world is 6,000 years old" sense where people actually believe the stupid things they say, but stupid in an "I thought that dogs laid eggs," way, where it's obvious that the person saying the stupid thing doesn't actually believe the stupid thing because everybody knows the stupid thing is stupid. And because the stupid thing sounds so stupid when said our loud it catches people off guard and that's why they sometimes laugh.

This ten second video illustrates what I mean:

You don't think that some people actually are sexist, or that sexism might have been more common in the past than today?

While we're on the topic of sports misconceptions, the excessively low rate of 4th down attempts in the NFL and in NCAA Football is absolutely ludicrous.

Then you have idiots running madden "Sim Leagues" that force us to do something that is statistically idiotic because it's "realistic", with the only justification used for this absurd practice in madden OR reality being straight logical fallacy.

It's especially sickening when teams that are down by 2 scores in the 2nd half are punting on 4th and short, but in reality teams should rarely ever punt on 4th and short (basically in cases where despite that doing so raises the opponent's chance to score once, it lowers their chance to score rapidly and enough times to be able to win).

Real Thing should be capitalized

You ignorant twit.

Oh I definitely think some people are sexist, but most sexist jokes I've heard are so nonsensical that I expect even sexist people wouldn't believe them.
