The things AU described were happening in times of the republic, the monarchy is much more peaceful, stabilization-oriented and poor centred. We even have made Unemployments Benifits and lowered the taxes for the poor to 1/7 of the income. So, calling a monarchy a dictatorship is totally wrong. And we should talk about aggression, since Aussies have invaded a small helpless nation, not we.

Nuclear hellfire. Also, we'll bomb them a few extra times for every time they've asked you. Just to show we're cool, g.
This is the 24 hour warning. So far I only have orders from Brazil, China, and the UAR. For those of you.who haven't sent orders yet, refer to the last update for what I need your orders to contain.
Clarifying my intention to send orders this evening and all that.
Sending orders now
Orders sent, lets just hope my invasion of Indonesia turns out well
I am no longer accepting revisions. Thank you to everyone who managed to get orders in.
I am still missing orders from the United States (TheLizardKing), Indonesia (Nirosi), and India (SouthernKing). I highly recommend getting them today, after which they are at risk of not being accepted.
Seeing as SouthernKing will about to be booted for inactivity, the first person who manages to send orders for India this turn will become its new player. Should SouthernKing send orders, which I highly doubt will happen, he will retain control of India.
I send revised orders before I read this, so will my revised orders be accepted.

BRAZIL ON THE WARPATH!
Brazilian armored personnel carriers roll through Posadas.
Buenos Aires, Occupied Argentina Brazilian forces attacked the nation of Argentina early this month in a move to become the dominant power on the South American continent. The invasion was launched while a significant portion of the Argentine army was supposed to be fighting in Chile and Brazilian generals expected to destroy all the forces in Argentina and capture Buenos Aires in a relatively short period of time. This was not the case, but Brazilians force did manage to make considerable advances in its goals to conquer their southern neighbor.
The invasion opened up with a bombing campaign by the Brazilian First Air Squadron. The intended target was the base of the Argentine I Air Corps in Rosario, but it was soon realized that such an attack was impossible due to limited aircraft range. Brazilian pilots then opted to engage the Argentine II Army, which was spotted several hundred miles northeast of Santa Fe. It was during this raid that the Brazilians were able to engage Argentine aircraft, which were scrambled to save the II Army. The firefight allowed the Argentines to escape south and out of range of future air raids. Around the same time, the veteran Brazilian 1st Army stormed into Mespotamia where they captured Posadas with no resistance. The invaders then turned south and made a mad dash along the Uruguayan border towards the Rio de la Plata. About a hundred miles east of Rosario, the remnants of the II Army, with support of the I Air Corps, threw itself at the Brazilian invasion force. Brazilian superiority in numbers and training won the day, but their lack of air support meant the loss of a fair number of armored vehicles. The II Army, however, was annihilated on the battlefield. Upon marching into Buenos Aires and La Plata, Brazilian forces were harassed not only by Argentine aircraft, but by Argentine destroyers as well.
Brazil now firmly controls the Argentine capital and the surrounding area, but Premier Diaz and his government have safely fled to Cordoba. Air and naval raids have ceased as to prevent the deaths of Argentine civilians, which the Brazilians have prevented from fleeing. The I Army has arrived in the Pampa from its retreat from Chile, but has been unable to engage the Brazilians so far. Many in the international community believe the end of Argentina is near, and a new era of Brazilian dominance is on the horizon.

BATTLE FOR MIDHORDLAND RAGES
Norwegian soldiers move to attack the Russian lines in the hills of western Norway.
Bergen, Norway Russian efforts to defeat the Norwegian military and conquer Norway this month were thwarted and the fighting is believed to continue for another month. The valiant efforts of Norwegian defenders and a surprising surge in troop numbers have kept the Russian advance at bay. Original plans to carry out tactical strikes against fortifications were soon cast aside as a counteroffensive was launched to reconnect Midhordland to the northern territories was spotted. Instead, Russian commanders opted to commence heavy bombing of the city or Bergen and the surrounding area. Carrier based fighters and long range bombers from Kaliningrad pummeled the hills and forests west of the city with high explosives before a ground offensive was launched.
Russian forces expected to rapidly move into Bergen using the two highways running into the city, a tactic which worked well in seizing much of southern Norway. Norwegian defenders were ready for this however and their tanks were ready to intercept them. Duals between Russian and Norwegian tanks slowed the advance, and allowed other units to fall back to the outskirts of Bergen. Russian armor prevailed and the advance continued.
Once in the outskirts of Bergen, Norwegian forces destroyed all transportation networks connecting the city to the rest of Norway and harassed Russian attempts to break into the city. Russian leaders, frustrated by the lack of progress, ordered the use of incendiaries to terror bomb Bergen and scorch the woodlands around it. The remaining Norwegian defenders have fallen back to Bergen and have fortified the city. Bergen is pockmarked with craters and smoldering, and its possible the city might be destroyed in the coming final battle.

ARABS ATTACK ISRAEL
Israeli armor maneuvers through the West Bank towards the Jordanian border.
Jerusalem, Israel - The state of Israel was suddenly and brutally attacked by their sole neighbor, the United Arab Republic, this month. The UAR, most notably their past president, has long been wary of Israel, and has had many reasons to dispatch their Hebrew neighbor, such as finally being able to connect the two halves of the republic or to liberate the Palestinians from oppressive rule. However, President Melhara and his government have stated no reason for their aggression.
The invasion opened with naval and air raids. Arab bombers pummeled numerous supposed military installations in hopes of destroying Israeli aircraft on the ground, and were mildly successful. The Islamic Arab Navy, tasked with destroying the Israeli Navy, quickly found itself in a dire situation. They were outnumbered by the Israelis and were discovered before they had an opportunity to attack. The Israeli destroyers quickly sent the entire Arab fleet to the bottom of the sea. After the air and naval raids, there was a weeklong lull in the fighting, as the Islamic Republican Guards were still en route from Kuwait. This gave the Israelis ample time to amass their military, especially their numerous armored vehicles, along the western borders in anticipation for the impending invasion, as well as fortify Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Sure enough, the Arabs arrived along the border with the West Bank. Paratroopers were dropped behind Israeli lines and managed to deal some damage to the defenses, but were unable to deal with the speed and firepower of Israels mechanized infantry. The main assault occurred near the town of Jericho. Arab infantry struggled to cross the Jordan River under fire from Israeli tank guns and artillery, but managed to do so with the support of Arab artillery. Bridgeheads were secured and Republican Guard armor rolled in to support the infantry. Jericho was secured and paratroopers were able to link up with the main force. However, the whole of the Israeli army soon arrived on the scene in order to stop an advance towards Jerusalem. The Republican Guard attempted to break out of the pocket, but just couldnt break through the Israeli lines. Heavy casualties were inflicted by both sides but the Arabs remained in the pocket.
At present, the Republican Guard is stuck in Jericho with the bulk of the Israeli army taking up positions to the north, south, and west. Israeli artillery and aircraft are frequently targeting the Arab positions with rockets and shells. A penetration of the Israeli lines seems a daunting task, but is by no means impossible. Whether the UAR will be able to conquer Israel without decimating their own army is still unknown.

Hamhung, Occupied North Korea – The Chinese Northeast Field Army managed to break through the Korean defensive line. Aerial bombardment and waves of infantry managed to cause a break in the mountainous eastern part of the line, despite the constant presence or North Korean interceptors. Chinese forces exploited the opening, and surged forward and into the city of Hamhung. The move scattered defensive forces in the north, and the isolated North Korean troops rushed northeast to Chongjin regroup and defend against an attack that would never come. In the south however, defensive forces have shifted and are now situated in the northern and eastern outskirts of the capital, leaving Wonson and the east coast vulnerable. While the Chinese have managed to isolate a portion of the North Korean army and take one of their cities, the North Koreans have gained one thing: air superiority.

Niger Now Nigeria
Niamey, Holy Republic of Greater Nigeria – In an apparent second invasion of Ghana, the First Lord’s Army, now specially trained in desert warfare, marched into the nation of Niger from its newly conquered Ghana. Air strikes on the Nigerien capital of Niamey struck fear into the hearts of the soon-to-be subjugated people. Upon reaching the city, Nigerian forces engaged enemy armored vehicles while a large contingent of infantry fled east. The First Lord’s Army tracked down and destroyed the cowards several hundred miles north of Maradi near the edge of the desert, and the country surrendered.

Taipei, Japanese Republic – The combined arms of the Japanese navy and army managed to subdue the remaining Taiwanese troops and capture Kaohsiung this month. An assault of the city was launched after a fierce naval bombardment from 01-Kantai, which all but destroyed the forces holed up within. Japanese infantry and marines moved in to mop up the mess and hunted down what few soldiers managed to avoid a fiery death. The capture of Taiwan shows that Japan is not afraid to flex its military muscles when it comes to ensuring their dominance of the western Pacific.

Indonesia Absorbs Brunei
Bandar Seri Begawan, Kingdom of Indonesia – In its first offensive campaign since 1975, Indonesia conquered the small, isolated nation of Brunei this month. The invasion proved to be extremely problematic as the Indonesians struggled to gain a beachhead and fight in the inland jungles, but the main objective was accomplished regardless. Reasons for the conquest of Brunei have been debated by the international community. While many believe the attack was to maintain the power gap between Indonesia and its southern neighbor, the Austral Union, Jakarta continues to claim that the invasion was because of the “public insult” Brunei caused by rejecting a peaceful union.

Euro Fleet In Eastern Med
Athens, European Federation – Piggybacking on the successful seizure of the northern and southern Macaronesian islands, the 1st Euroforce Fleet and the 2nd Euroforce Army have been dispatched to the eastern Mediterranean to retake the island of Cyprus. European forces managed to reach the island toward the end of the month and launched what could be considered to be a “half-assed” attempt to take control. European infantry expected to face no resistance upon landing, but found themselves not only fighting a Cyprot military, but a force that seemed to be better trained, which defeated the “landing party”. No attempt has been made to take the island by force and no one is quite sure if the Europeans intend to really try.

Russians Continue Caucasian Rampage
Yerevan, Russian Federation – The Russian bear continued to exert its dominance over the Caucasus region with the invasion of their newest neighbor, Armenia. Aerial bombardment was carried out by newly acquired heavy bombers, and consisted of a mix of high explosive and incendiaries. As Yerevan smoldered, Moscow ordered a universal surrender of the country, which the Armenians outright refused. The Iron Guard Army was sent in to crush the Armenians, but had issues fighting in the mountains that separated Azerbaijan from the Armenian capital. Casualties in the form of destroyed armored vehicles befell the Russians before they managed to finally force surrender.

Lithuania Flies the Blue Banner
Vilnius, European Federation – After a heavy assault on the last bastion of Klaipeda, the Euros have finally regained Lithuania. Brussels has now begun a second offensive, one of demoralization. Synthetically cheery claims that Lithuania will be subject to all the rights and privileges of other “members” and will be able to establish their own regional government had been effective in sapping the will of the Lithuanians. The average man in Kaunas knows that these “gifts” are meant to reinforce the concept that the land is ruled by foreigners, and depression has begun to set in as it becomes a reality.

Mexico City, United Mexican States – The lethargic nature of the government is beginning to take its toll on the Mexican populous. Many in Mexico have taken to the streets to protest, albeit peacefully, their increasing frustration with their government’s lack of activity. Claims that little is being done to counter the rising American military presence along the border, improve the national economy, or otherwise bring prestige to the Mexican nation have spread and Mexicans everywhere are demanding action.

Aussies Create New Space Race
Alice Springs, Austral Union – A sudden surge in funding for the Austral Space Service has created a new space race between the Austral Union and European Federation. The Aussies have grand goals to have the first manned mission to Mars and the construction of a spaceport in the middle of the country. At the moment, the Europeans have the lead in the race to put a man in space, but only by a slim margin.
Economists Expect Debt Issues
London, United Kingdom – World economists predict next month will see a rise in the overall debt of most nations. Those countries which have spent funds beyond their monthly means are expected to suffer interest costs as creditors wish to see some sort of return on their contributions. While very few believe a depression will arise, a general assumption that minor internal issues will spring up for certain parties.

China's warmongering must be stopped! If our mightiest of militaries cannot stop the Chinese, who's can? Help us fight China so you will not have to fight them yourselves in the future!
Your search for influence in Scandinavia is killing off your sons. Leave now and stop the bloodshed.
...what....what are you doing!?!
We have a new player for India, Amesjay.
@ Amesjay - I couldn't accept your military orders because they weren't possible. You cannot split up an army. Also, its only Turn 2, not Turn 5.
For this update, I did not allow the construction of units in armies that were actively fighting wars. I am changing this. From now on, any army which has direct land access to the homecountry and is no more than one turn's distance from the border at the beginning of the turn will be able to be "reinforced". For example, the Brazilian 1st Army would be able to accept new units next turn, but the Russian Western Vanguard Army would not.
@ mtcicero - You ordered the construction of a Strike Fighter in the First Lord's Army for 1c. This isn't possible and I wasn't sure if you ultimately wanted an Infantry or a Strike Fighter, so I banked the 1c and banked it.
@ Milarqui - There was no need to spend 2c on rebuilding Lithuania, so I banked it for you.
@ ChineseWarlord and Nirosi - For the love of God, put your nation name in your order's PM title. It took me a while to find your orders in the sea of messages because their titles don't stand out. If I don't find your orders because of this, I can only assume you didn't send them.
I've gotten some complaints that some players have fleets or air wings without units that aren't on the map. So, I am requiring everyone with an empty army, fleet, or air wing to buy at least one unit for it this turn. In the future, you must buy a unit in the same turn as buying a new army/fleet/air wing.
Some of you will be getting PMs from me soon.
Stats are up.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Deadline for Update 3 orders is Saturday, April 27th at 6:00pm EST

You are a worthy opponent or something like that. Because we respect you we are going to do our absolute best to make you pay bloody murder for your continued resistance to your glorious liberation and our embrace of freedom and democracy. You of course have the option of continuing to resist. In the end this may very well result in the destruction of the city of Bergen, which will surely entail your horrible, burning deaths. However, the National Congress is not satisfied by this resolution, and to that end we are issuing our ultimatum. For every day that the defenders of Bergen do not surrender and lay down their arms the forces of liberation in Norway will... liquidate a hundred non-combatants.
Die in a fire.
Out of Character Observations:
I was waiting until this turn to see if Russia's opening move on taking Norway on was an incredible surprise attack or something to bog it down. Regardless, Russia should take it sooner rather than later and that will be an excellent dagger aimed at the EF.
Conversely, the new EF force in Lithuania, and soon presumably Latvia, is a nice counter. It was a bold move taking a stance straight at Russia instead of mopping up the Balkans for easy credits, but with a Russian army in Norway, this might be one of the better counters available to them.
UIR took the nice opening move of taking on Kuwait for that easy one credit, but taking Israel with just the starting army? A bold move. Probably a bad one too, but we will see if the Israelis, presumably one of the strongest NPC's in the game, can hold out. The UIR can likely win, but they're going to lose alot of opportunities in the process.
Nigeria's showing that, when in capable hands, can be a rapidly rising behemoth. Easy countries all around them ripe for the picking.
India's not doing muuuch.
China I was interested to see how they'd play with no Vietnam, and they take on North Korea, another strong NPC. It's definitely interesting for China where their best move is to take on North Korea. This actually ties into Japan. China and Japan have the West Pacific to split between them, which includes South Korea, the Philippines, and Vietnam. South Korea might be the easiest of all of those to take, so I'm interested to see how these next few turns play out.
Indonesia probably got the most help from the removal of Vietnam. They need to act on it though, or get squeezed by more ambitious powers.
Australia's always dangerous, their position makes it ideal for taking all of those islands with ease. However it's a long coastline. If they don't keep up two fleets, an ambitious enemy might find them exploitable.
USA's pursuing the nuclear strategy it seems. We'll see how it goes, but the deadlocked Mexico could be an easy target compared to a slogfest in Ontario.
Once again, Shadowbound has it figured out. The second Argentina got stuck in Chile, I know Brazil's hammer was coming down. It's the reverse Jason's Superpower game, with Brazil this time the relevant power. We shall see how this goes....
OOC: I was ready to send revised orders, but because orders locked, they were not accepted.
Is it possible to reinforce the Northern China Air Command? Its not technically in combat, since it seems to be still based out of Dalian.
Also, Juche go home! Communism with Chinese Characteristics is Best Communism.
I'm gonna be dropping out of this game. Sorry guys...

PLA TAKES HAMHUNG
Korean Forces Routed, Starving
The glorious People's Liberation Army invasion of the Undemocratic Autocrats Monarchy of Korea (known in the west as the DPRK) has seized Hamhung, after finally getting tired and needing to pick bits of Korean out of their tire tracks. President Wang has praised the victories of the men of the Northeast Field Army, promising many more victories and glory to come for the Greater People's Republic.
General Long Weijing of the Northeast Field Army has denied seditious rumours spread by anti-Chinese autocratic elements that the PLA was previously halted at Anju-up, saying, "the recent 'defeat', as antidemocratic elements have been saying, was totally planned. The North Koreans are conforming exactly to our plans. We totally wanted to stop here. Honest."
The war started when the North Korean air force, in a move totally unprovoked by anyone, launched a brutal bombing raid against a field full of unarmed farming tractors. The unarmed farming tractors returned fire, downing three enemy aircraft, before the Politburo made the decision that the slights made by North Korea against the worldwide proletariat must be avenged, and the tyrannical government in Pyongyang replaced by a benevolent, peaceful Socialist government in Beijing.
Sources within North Korea report that the enemy forces are currently starving, and have resorted to eating their own guns for sustenance. Experts believe that the entirety of the enemy army can be made to surrender by cooking a chicken in front of them.
The United States has been unavailable to comment, being too busy gorging on Macdonalds, cheap T-shirts, and oil.

Mexico is now open.
@Grandkhan - Yes, you can reinforce your air wing as long as its on your soil, which it is. Also, with the rule change on reinforcing armies, you could start building units in the Northeast Field Army while they are in Korea.
Also, I done goofed and forgot to add some stuff to the update. Through the miracle of dice-rolls and pure dumb luck, Indonesia got a new city. The map and stats will be updated shortly to reflect this. Congratulations Nirosi, for doing absolutely nothing.
