Daugther

How about June or Summer.

Oh, and congrats

My daughter is Aurora Jacqulyn.

Other choices were Ariana, Crystal, and Fadia. (Wanted to be different, but not too out there).

Congratulations. Nothing beats children and the joy they add to your life.

Is "June" very commun over sea ?
I like the idea (even if she's on time !!!)....

June is not too common among the younger generation in Oz.

Other months also double as female names:

April and May, and with some minor suffixing, Jan, Julie and Octavia :) Perhaps there is also a Augustina?

if it would have been a boy, I would have called him "Amarin"....

maybe for the third child....

I don't know of very many people with the name of June. I thought of that cause I have a niece who was born in April and her name is April Dawn.

Congrats, though it may have been a bad idea to ask us for names, as we just spit out the womens names in civ 3.

I could have sworn that France, like many European countries, had laws about what you could or could not name children. Am I mistaken or did you somehow get past the authorities?

Opal
Betty
Mildred
(your wife's name) 2.0

Congratulations on the child, btw.

My favorites are:

Shannon
Abigale
Elizabeth
Victoria

Short names are good names

Go for something two letters long
like:
Em
or
Bo

She'll be able to fill out all those forms she will be damned to fill out really fast!

Remember guys it has to sound good in French ;) Not an easy task.

I like:

Iseulde [Cornish]
Linde [nice standard French name]
Nasriah [Arabic! Not too many kids in Alsace with Arabic names ;) ]

Tongeulle :p :p :p [inside Frenchy joke]

for the first one, there was no problem because we were in a French Over-sea Département, with many culural influences and people from India, Madagascar, and Créoles...

BTW, the laws are not too strict, if you use names that "didn't injure the integritee of the personn"

5 years ago, Mr and Mrs RENAULT were not authorized to name their daughter Mégane neither Scénic !! (real story !!!)

Congratulations!!!

I would like to suggest: Natasha. I've always liked that name . . .

Bright day.

Many congratulations! There is never enough joy from kids ( and troubles:p ). As the names go Rhiannon (sp?) sounds kinda nice. If you are willing to spend some time and have acces to public library be sure to get some name-books and foreign (or even domestic) dictionaries, also be sure to consult everything (not EVERYthing) with your wife!

May your lives be filled with many bright joys and accidents that are good to be remembered.
