I disagree. It’s not a Tall buff - it’s an everyone buff. Just because taller cities derive more benefit from percentage bonuses doesn’t negate the raw power of more cities.

Given that they reversed the amenity level changes, getting Ecstatic cities is again totally trivial. The even stronger percentage bonuses to Ecstatic cities therefore is probably the single biggest yield inflation ever added in a patch. In a game where a key issue is the game going by too fast, this only makes things worse.

I don’t chop but I agree that’s too much too.
I do think it makes Tall strats a bit more viable. Of course, they cannot just limit this change to empires with fewer than X cities, that would be weird, but getting Ecstatic with an empire with 15+ cities is definitely harder than one with only 6-7, especially when your huge empire is a result of conquering since war weariness is still gonna take its course.

I'll take "just yet".

Change to titles granted from secret societies - only first discovery gives extra title

Was hoping for this. Great news.

It wasn't clear to me whether they reverted everything or just the negative thresholds. I'll be disappointed if they made Ecstatic cities trivial again. Confirmed above they did not change positive thresholds!

Only the negative Amenities thresholds are reverted, you still need 5+ for Ecstatic cities.

Oh well that’s not as bad then since the positive amenities are still harder to reach. I still think it’s the wrong direction but at least it’s not quite to that level. Hopefully the adjacency bonus policy card changes will prove to be yield inflation dampeners.

Wisselbanken/Democracy change is good overall, but at the same time, it makes alliances even less relevant. This bonus was the main reason to keep an alliance. There still reason to make one, mainly if you're a peaceful player, but you aren't getting a lot out of it, aside of perpetual peace.

I think I saw a Gaul city named Johannesburg. A conquered new city state?

Maybe the research alliance? That was my most important one. The other ones don't seem that great, unless you feel you want some added defense (which is usually useless) from someone DOW'ing you.
