Decent Playthrough?

I prefer Marbozir the most, though Quill is entertaining.

The real purpose of these playthroughs is to do beta testing; entertainment is actually secondary.

Marbozir's exploits would be useful to Firaxis such that when the game is officially released, AI players would actually value relics for example.

I find Drew Durnil on YouTube to be a good combination of entertaining and knowledgeable about Civ. I've watched his religious play through with America, and he's just starting a domination play with Japan on archipelago, and he also has one with Germany where he experiments with attacking city states. I'd recommend him. He also has a good series of breakdowns on each civ, explaining abilities and likely strategies.

I agree he is pretty good I have watched quite a bit of his vids.

Try Drew Durnil, this guy is really good and entertainig....not many people mentioned him but i think his LP are worth:

Drew released those horrible analyzation video where he got every single civ wrong, so I doubt he is "really good".

FilthyRobots early analyzation videos was great though, so he was on the right track when he started playing, but no one is going to figure out every detail of something like Civ VI, so everyone has one or more things they don't get and it makes it hard to watch the lets plays, with the repetitive same mistake made over and over, but if your lucky maybe watching different streamers, result in different repeated mistake before it gets too awful.

No, the real purpose of these playthroughs is to show the game to people and to get them hyped.
That is true. It serves both for marketing purposes and to find bugs. Being entertained is still secondary, though entertainment from playthroughs is the byproduct of creating hype.

it has been hard to watch people play in these videos since everyone's new but marbozir is "pretty damn good" and i've been enjoying filthyrobot so far except for missing obvious information
