Deity please! #4

I think the issue here is just different leaders. Usually forum game starts are better then average because most people wouldn't be too interested in playing a terrible start ( like 3 wine or something:lol: )

But I would certainly be interested in watching you and the other pro's playing starts like that, much more so than gold starts :)

Hmmm... Depends on the people, there ;)
I'd be far more interested in a 3 wine or a cow start than in the Pericles start this series had (skipped that one on sight ; not to say I'd have reached a dominant position, just that... well... I don't find it exciting to have a super busted start).
3 wine... sure, you may lose ! But hopefully you will lose fast so it isn't horrible. Better than a slow and painful defeat ^^

Hello again. ;)

Rolled a few starts looking for something interesting.

I have a proposal:
We got very nice map in Nobles' Club LXX: Sulieman of the Ottomans.

I worldbuilded it so it's deity, normal speed, huts/events off and barbs got their techs.

Why use map already existing on the forums? Few reasons:

  1. There are many players here, who play Nobles Club on different difficulty levels. I think they would be interested to see how was it done (if it was ) on highest difficulty. Especially if AbsoluteZero will make a video of it.:mischief:
  2. The map is very nice and interesting indeed.
  3. The map looks balanced well. No golds in BFC.
Now, it's not too late to make it No Tech Brokering/No Vassal States. Should I do that?

If no , here is the save.
If yes, let me know and I will post another one.

Let's Deity Please! #5 begin! :rockon::sniper:

I have no problem with TB, but girls in this thread seems to dislike brokers ;)

Thank you GKey, I'll try that save :)
I don't know about the map but Suleiman is a very cool leader. Starting position is... errr... where to settle isn't obvious to me.

Oh my...
Not really a spoiler, using zoom:
Spoiler :

SIP=
Tons of food
5 Hills
8 cottageble riverside tiles (4 FPs, 3 grass)
11 visible forests
Plus oasis (Best tile in game to use while you make your first worker? May be I am wrong, can't come up with something better)
Absolutely awesome site IMO.

Even thinking of not to SIP here should be considered as a serious crime. That's IMO, of cause, will be interesting to see different approach.

1N and on the marble look good as well. Maybe not better, I haven't spent more than 30s looking at the screen, yet.
Oasis means both locations would have fresh water. This I know :P

Well, looks like no objections, next deity please will start with proposed map.

arrg..too bad I already started this one on immortal... not a bad map despite it being Large.

Eeek... Large map ?
I guess losing early is the best alternative to winning late for those of us who don't want to invest too much time into a game  Hopefully, I'll manage ! Barbarians are on at least ?

GKey, is it necessary to open another thread ?
I would think posting reports in the Noble's club thread is good enough... Maybe it's more convenient to have 2 threads, dunno...

Yep large and crowded map, according to op. Is separate thread necessary? Not sure, up to you. We got nice deity map, that's all we need after all.

But... but... I thought... we were doing Raging Barbarians with Tokugawa starting with no resources nearby on a non-coastal start! ^_^ **runs and hides**

@Gwaja Ok, if you promise join us, play and post we will do. Bring your map though, I don't really like starts I rolled recently.

Yipes! I really didn't expect that answer from you! ^_^

Hmmm... how about a Rain Forest map with Monty? Maybe there might be some fun to be had with Monty's Jaguars and their free Woodsman I bonus. It would also be quite different from normal maps since the map will be filled with jungles, which means Iron Working would be a priority tech. Of course, Iron Working unlocks the Jaguars which require no resources.... ^_^

A Terra map with Joao might be fun too. Early colonization of the New World with carracks from Optics might be interesting.

Or, even a Global Highlands map with either Boudica or Brennus and try to utilize the Gallic Warriors and Duns.

Just throwing out ideas out there.
