Department of Turnplay

I've got the save.

I have it.

I've got the save.

Hi everyone..one...one....one.....

I got it..it...it....it
;)

I might be able to help you if I could get away with civ4 @ work :p

Hey everyone just a heads up. I'll be gone tomorrow through Sunday. There's a pretty good chance I'll have internet access but just in case I don't please move the save. I'll post here if I have it.

Should Hamburger start another settler next turn? We only have 3 cities and a 4th shouldn't cost too much in corruption.

Is it too soon to go for a wonder now?

edit: sorry, I see you are talking about Hamburger, not the capitol  Maybe a unit and then a settler? If the unit finishes next turn, then I'm fine for a settler :)

we already are going for the Great Light house.. The Leader has (or is going for) the Oracle..

So either way, I think that the answer is no. We have a few cities to help with unit production while the big bulb in the coast is built, so I think that we should be ok.

I think that we need a city on the isthmus soon.

Well, then it seems we should go settler after the current build, unless we are going to grow in the next couple of turns. We may also want an escort for the settler.

The Leader has the Oracle and according to Davemcw they hadn't picked their tech till last turn.

The Great Lighthouse will be 15 turns and we are #1 in Mfg Goods so that should help. Hamburger will finish the rax this turn but still needs the MP (coming from the capital due in 2) so it quells the dissenter. It should have its borders expand over the pigs and copper soon too. Treacle is buidling a warrior as well and may be finished in time to help the settler.

I say going for another city would be wise. And I like the Isthmus build.

I have the save and will report back.

Turn 74-1040 BC--
Treacle Village finishes a warrior and start another due in 4 (or 3 if we work a plains forest tile 1 turn). We'll need an escort for the settler at Hamburger due in 6.

A land bridge? Let's pray to the Great Sirian it is. :worship:
I presume we don't want to pop the hut.

The forest is chopped at Balderdash by Pind. Sweet moves to the other forest.
If my maths are correct here's how we should do it.
There's 103 :hammers: left.
If we work the forest we get 14 :hammers: per turn and if we work the coast it's 13 :hammers: per turn.
Working the forest for 3 turns would give 42 :hammers:.
or 39 :hammers: if we work the coast.
20 :hammers: for the chop requiring us to move.

A total of 62 :hammers: (41 left) on the forest or 59 :hammers: (44 left) on the coast.
However if we work the forest for 3 and move the citizen to a plains tile for 3 (irrigate the plains tile?....may not use it later so I'll leave it to discuss) it will allow us to maintain 14 :hammers: per turn and finish in 6 versus 7. I'll work the forest then switch to the plains.

Metal is due in 11 but it will be shorter since we will be able to work the coast after GLighthouse is finished. We are stilling cruising on Mfg. Products though "The Leader" spiked here. We are beating "The Leader" in food (just passed them again) and power but losing to them on culture and GNP.

Any thoughts on city placement?

Here's the demographics which I'll post in Central Intelligents.

One idea for settling - get some cash cows in b4 moving west.. this will save on maint and provide a canal. These cities could be moved 1 N also. I included a dot 4 a city that would grab the horse, if we need it.

One other thing is the copper, should the workers be chopping instead of hooking this up? I suppose we kind of discussed that, but I thought it already was hooked.

I think we can send one of the workers to the copper without a problem. It doesn't seem to matter whether the plains tile is developed or not to finish the GLighthouse.

Personally, I'd really like to get those horses so we can start making horse archers too.

I have the save.

I have the save again. We'll need someone to write something about our great new wonder. I plan to send the settler south and we'll need a final decision on city placement.

We need to make some decisions on settlement and direction of our warriors.
Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure. BTW is anyone interested in playing some turnsets. I don't think I'm our best turnplayer option and would like it if someone with skills could run with this a bit (or tell me what I'm doing wrong)

Input please. There's also a lot of pictures in the turnplayer and Central Intelligence thread.

I could play, but I wouldn't be able to provide the detail of your logs Whomp. any saves that I play are basically load, play, save, & send due to time constraints.

As far as direction. I think that the isthmus is a must. Maybe not nearly as far as 11, but maybe @ 6.5 first.
