Probably more as a Great General and/ot Governor, than a Civ leader:Creating designs for leaders that were or possibly were members of the LGBT+ community. Happy Pride Month!
Frederick the Great (Germany- gay): After capturing a city, get a boost in Great Writers and a Eureka.
James (Scotland/England- possibly bi): Great Works give faith bonuses.
William of Orange (Netherlands): Can peacefully annex city-states.
Hatshepsut (Egypt-possibly trans or nonbinary): Scouts are free to manage.
Hadrian (Rome-gay): Walls are built at 2x speed.
Nero (Rome-bisexual): Get Great Musician boost through natural disasters
(I don't know how to do Han Wudi, who may have been gay. @pineappledan created a great Babur design, check it out if you can. Also Christina, Ludwig II, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and Abe Lincoln [possibly bi] are already in Civ)
Given the source and meaning of the white elephant idiom, from nearby Thailand, one would THINK Laos was in for a quick and devastating state bankruptcy.Civilization: Laotian Empire (One Million White Elephants and a Parasol): Jungle tiles provide bonus faith and gold, and contribute to Religious Tourism. Gain access to the White Elephant Hunt project, which has a chance of spawning a White Elephant resource, chance increased for every Jungle tile in the city. Gain +1 Era Score each time a White Elephant spawns. White Elephant provides faith and amenities.
Maybe the White Elephant resource should have a high Gold maintenance?Given the source and meaning of the white elephant idiom, from nearby Thailand, one would THINK Laos was in for a quick and devastating state bankruptcy.![]()
You mean the Iroquois will become their suzerain? The first 3 city-states met by Jigonhsasee will be influenced by the Iroquois immediately after meeting.
I feel like the Iroquois should have a gunpowder UU. It was with the introduction of the arquebus that they were able to expand and control the fur trade from other tribes. So here is the Iroquois!
Haudenosaunee/Iroquois (whatever floats your boat)
Bonus: Confederacy of the Five - Diplomatic Policy Card bonuses are doubled.
Unique Unit: Mohawk Warrior - Replaces Swordsman. +3 combat strength in forests.
Unique Wonder: Onondaga Longhouse - Can only be built in the capital. Gives 5 envoys when created.
Jigonhsasee (God, I can't spell that)
Leader Bonus: Mother of Nations - The first 3 city-states met by Jigonhsasee will be influenced by the Iroquois immediately after meeting.
A Unique Improvement strongly tied to the Bosian Church, about which little hard information is known (other than it being declared a heresy by both the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches and that it was ACCUSED of Bogilon ideology, but no solid evidence exists of that, or what dissident beliefs thay may have had), and, that, like most funery monuments, are sketchy in how much of an active role they played in a given civilization's day-to-day activities (outside of ones involved with ancestor worship religions, which the Bosnians were not) is a dubious choice.Civilization: Bosnian Empire (Heart of the Balkans) Bosnian cities receive bonus faith and culture for each adjacent mountain tile.
Mountain adjacency bonus for Holy Districts doubled, and Military Districts adjacent to Mountains grant faith for each adjacent enemy unit killed.
Leader 1: Kulin (Kulin's Charter): Gain gold from every tile crossed by a foreign Trader. Gain Great Merchant points each time a foreign Trader or Great Merchant enters your borders.
Leader 2: Tvrtko I (Double Crown): Can declare War of Succession upon civilizations whose cities have flipped over to Bosnia. This casus belli is unlocked at Divine Right and generates only 25 grievances.
Unique Unit: Knez: Civilian unit with high maintenance cost. Only one may be produced per city. +7 loyalty when garrisoned in city. +10% combat strength to units within 2-tile radius when linked with a military unit. Cannot be garrisoned in a city with an established Governor.
Unique Improvement: Stećak: +1 Faith, +1 Culture. +1 Amenities when adjacent to river, mountain, Military District or Holy District (does not stack).

But were they actively important in the day-to-day life of Medieval Bosnians to the level to qualify as a full Improvement, or no more so than a church graveyard or family tomb in much of the rest of the Western World, just one that would attract interest in the 19h Century onward? There's also a good question. From Wikipedia:
Spoiler :The exclusive relation between stećci and Bogomils was propagated from the late 19th century due to political and ideological reasons, like by Béni Kállay and Austro-Hungarian authorities who promoted post-Ottoman and pan-Bosnian identity because since 1878 the territory was part of Austro-Hungarian administration, rather than scientific reasons. Although it was already questioned in 1899 by Kosta Hörmann the first director of National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for almost a century it was a predominant theory in international historiography.
Since the mid-20th century many scholars like Marian Wenzel, once the world's leading authority on the art and artifacts of medieval Bosnia and Herzegovina, concluded that the stećci tombstones were a common tradition amongst Catholic, Orthodox and Bosnian Church followers alike. Wenzel's conclusion supported other historians' claims that they reflect a regional cultural phenomenon rather than belonging to a particular religious faith.
For lack of a better alternative the stećak will do.But were they actively important in the day-to-day life of Medieval Bosnians to the level to qualify as a full Improvement
☹Unique unit: Combat Apostle - Can use a Spread Religion charge on your unit. That unit gains the Detonate ability. When activated, the tiles within the blast radius of 1 has districts and buildings pillaged, and all units and population killed.
Yes. Also nice Bosnia designYou mean the Iroquois will become their suzerain?
Oh?Don't be sad. The unit gets rewarded with 72 virgins in the afterlife.
A generic, "religious civ," gets rewarded a speciifc - and misinterpreted and badly setereotyped by Westerners and deliberately misrepresented by extremists to disingenuously promote recruiting of the ignorant and desperate - "promise," of one specific religion, do they?Don't be sad. The unit gets rewarded with 72 virgins in the afterlife.
