[Development Thread] BtS Unofficial Expansion: World of Legends

^Fixed up the Throne a bit, show you in the morning, one question: why don't we do this in our PRIVATE forum?
[EDIT]
:rotfl: "HEAD KHAN OF WORLD OF LEGENDS" Hail Cybrxkhan!

That be me! :whipped: It's a nice title, I'm a MANAGER! :mischief:

Commonly Asked Questions:

Why isn't the glorious civilization [x], amazing wonder [x], world renowed leader [x], etc. etc. in?

Unlike a mod, and like an expansion, we try to limit can be included. Therefore, we won't be adding in fifty civiliations. However, since this is still technically a mod, we do have some freedom in choice, and are more liberal and open. However, as most planning is already finished, the WoL team will most likely not be considering any outrageous requests.

Can I join as a team member?

Yes, but, we are not at a shortage of manpower, and therefore are not in need of assistance in XML and most areas of art. However, we are looking for an SDK specialist and Building + Unit artists for later.

Why is Vietnam and Poland in?

Don't even bother. :)
That is the best way you could say it. Well put Cybrxkhan! :D

The only thing I can do with the sdk is change the civ limits I haven't ventured into the intricacies yet. :)

Does it make sense to have Theodora as an alternative Byzantine leader? She was after all Justinians wife and co-ruler.

IMO a much better choice would be Basil II.

^Theodora's just in because shes a smart, pretty leader... althuogh...

Just make her the other Theodora. There were a couple of them that ruled, and only one was Justinian's wife.

^the other one wasn't as amazing, if i'm correct.

we already have one crazy queen/empress as leader (Trung Trac), one more wouldn't hurt... couold actually be better.

this should be on civunited but anyway, i had to ideas for new features.

One is Immigration. useful for cultural games, cultural conquest etc, i wanted to see a screen in the game where you can see where immigrants are going. See where for example the carthagians are immigrating to, And possibly control it to a limit. Very hard to explain, i'll try to make it clear later.

A second is "the drug trade" drug trade can end up into wars, hurts diplomacy, and makes your people sick? it's another thing i've been working on. I want to see how it goes. And i hope it won't be offensive.

If Polish Empire Mod for BtS will be out will you change Casimir's leaderhead and/or add Sobieski?

Can you post (it would be the best in first posts) new civs specifics?

[EDIT]: Don't you think that new traits are a way overpowered? 5-10% boost to research and +1 food in every plot with ~4 food would be strong enough (I would like play a civ with this traits).

possibly. an "immigration" mod by TheLopez was made earlier. we can implement it, if it doesn't get too complicated.

could sound too complicated...

the team is currently discussing that. we will be decreasing Agrarian's power, definitely.

Call me crazy (okay don't), but I think Trajan would make a much better choice than Hadrian for a third Roman leader. (Both are excellent.) Trajan was the optimus princeps and expanded Rome to its maximum extent, essentially starting the golden age of the Antonines, Nerva excepted. There is a leaderhead done for him already and his trait combo could be great--aggressive/charismatic. OH YEAH!!! :D

Would four Roman leaders be too many? Rome was at least as good as the other civs you're giving four leaders. :p

you're crazy. :joke:

i never preferred to have four leader civs from the start. that is still in discussion.

as we haven't gotten to adding the leaders in yet, this is still up to discussion. anyhow, the reason i preferred Hadrian is that i wanted a Roman leader that wasn't military focused. even Augustus had a good amount of military focus. Hadrian, on the other hand, built the Hadrian Wall!
though...

I resign as a member of this team.

:D

If you prefer a Roman who's not military-oriented (a bit hard in its own right, like asking for an Englishman who is not stoic) then may I suggest someone from the Republic? You could always use one of the Gracchi brothers (kind of the FDR of their time) or even Cicero. Lucius Brutus could also work.

^i know. but we also have to make sure this is kid-friendly too, remember?

I resign as a member of this team.

because you did not put this in:

:joke:

i'm assuming you're serious? :p put a link in your signature! :)

perhaps. that is still up to discussion!

So none of the new civs is going to get more than one leader?

well, it IS an "expansion", after all... did you have something particular in mind?

Except Poland and Vietnam.
:joke:
We're not sure yet.
[EDIT]Gaius Octavius, clear your Private messages, we can't get in contact with you, I finished the US throne.
