IHT (600 BC):
We definitely need to get to some metal in order to do anything militarily. Swap Sparta to a settler (9 turns, less a chop that's due). Some more archers will be needed soon, too.
Turn 1 (580 BC):
Athens' border expands to include the copper. Yay! Huayana wants open borders, which I agree to.
Turn 2 (560 BC):
Genghis adopts organised religion, Fred's borders expand to the east of Hastings, kicking our scouting archer back into Vicky's territory. Meh.
Checking out London - not a lot of military or too much development going on here. It's also a fair way away from other AI cities - methinks Vicky is a good target for our first agression. She controls a holy city too - we may not be allowed to adopt religion, but we can take advantage of free money, right?
Turn 3 (540 BC):
Maths researched. Start masonry - there's a chance we could get the pyramids still (would've been easier earlier, mind). HBR was the other option - why were we researching maths in the first place instead of military tech?
Turn 4 (520 BC):
Not a lot - just some scouting, start a cottage near Sparta.
Turn 6 (480 BC):
Sparta's settler completes, resumes its Library. Settler heads toward the iron. There's going to be a bit of overlap with Thermo, but it can't be helped.
Turn 7 (460 BC):
Start Agriculture.
Turn 8 (440 BC):
Corinth founded. Connections to iron and copper begun. That's it for settlers for us now - everything else must be military. Open borders with Mansa and Caesar on request.
Turn 9 (420 BC):
Hinduism spreads to Sparta.
Turn 10 (400 BC):
Open borders with Fred. The only person we don't like is Genghis.
No English copper or iron seems to be connected.
Turn 12 (380 BC):
Agriculture's in, start construction on the grounds that we'll want cats, and elephants are generally better than horse archers.
Turn 13 (360 BC):
I decide to snag a couple of English workers and keep her off the copper. This could, however, turn out to be really dumb, but what the heck, we're Fascists here! Start an archer in Athens and rearrange its citizens to be more productive.
Turn 14 (340 BC):
Move some units to harass Vicky. Whip up a barracks in Thermo (why I didn't think of that earlier, I've no idea).
Turn 16 (300 BC):
An english archer attacks Corinth, we promote to garisson II there. There's another heading for Athens - rearrange its worked tiles to get a defender out in time.
Turn 17 (280 BC):
Dang, the archer on vicky's pasture was killed (50/50 odds - daft move on my part). Our chariot on pillaging duty in the middle of her lands defeats an archer without taking a scratch, though

Sparta completes library, starts our first Phalanx for a golden age - wait, wrong game....
Turn 19 (240 BC):
Vicky's archer temporarily cuts off our copper supply, but I'm not worried - the iron's now online. confucianism FIDAL, Mali converts to Hinduism. Gandhi asks us to cancel our OB with Monty - I agree, since Monty's got even fewer points than us and is miles away.
Turn 20 (220 BC):
Athens' archer defeats Vicky's attack (why she didn't pillage the mine/threaten the workers I'm not sure) and promotes to garisson II. Phalanx complete in Sparta, heads south in the vague direction of either Nottingham or Hastings - I'll leave that decision for the next player. The chariot outside York could either be recalled to the front lines or used to check Vicky's not attaching that iron in the south - I'd favour the latter.
