....reminds me of a Philosophy course I once took with a real bugger of a professor. He got on this rant one day about a "limited God". It was quite amusing.

"If God is omnipotent, can he create something so big he cannot move it? Of course not! If, by definition God is omnipotent, he therefore can move anything...and cannot create something so big he cannot move it."

The good prof called it a "limit" on God. The audacity. Just like our Admin Rik here...

"If The Meleet warns all spam, can he spam and not be warned?"

Of course not.

And for that reason... as soon as team TNT is done autorazing their own cities, I'm gonna have our Gallic Swordsmen belly up to the bar and eat a great big bowl of spaghetti-false-god before quaffing down some fine wine.

So far this is the only thing that has come out of the dyes deal proposal

Please get back with me, scoutsout or Whomp. (I've CC'ed them on this). My wife looks like she is going to have our 2nd baby any day now so I'll be offline while she is in the hospital.
No dedication Tubby, thats the problem :P
riiiiiight... She'd kill me if I tell her while she's pushing , " Hang on honey, I have to check the forums... oh yeah, push!" :suicide:

lol good luck with your baby

Here's what I sent to 'nuts, along with the save:

Turn 119, over to you. We've offered you something that might make it possible to put some of those colored sprinkle-thingies on your Doughnutian donuts.

Best regards,
scoutsout

In our Gmail box... I say just give it to them next turn
Dyes would help us a lot! Unfortunately, I have discovered a feature/bug overseas worker trades are not allowed in C3C. You have to take workers by force, and that would mess all active deals.

Giving you a town D'nut citizens would not want to do. As you say giving gold/gpt is not wise. Are we running out of options...

In exchange for dyes we could request a few things.
1. Maximum intel regarding their borders with TNT and anything else they notice.
2. The capability to run units through Donut territory, if necessary.
3. Information regarding their beaker rate so we can adjust ours to time our co-research better. This is important to us because they are definitely lagging on the research front.

You can trade workers once you establish a city on common land (ie, we need to build/capture a city on thier continent 1st, then worker trade is available if a worker is in one of the capitols).

That is the way to go. We will need some developing in our new territories. But I would try to add what Whomp suggested out of neigborliness.

1. I think we should get that anyway
2. Good
3. Very important, but I wouldn't trust their word on it 100%. I maintain we should spend some cash investigating a small city of theirs on, say, 2 occasions.

Gram knows the mechanics :king:
One thing I would like them to do is to not renew the peace with TNT. They don't have to fight, but it would keep TNT from pushing all units NE which would be a lot of help.

With the cash from the Golden Age finally kicking in... we should be able to afford an investigation of one of the smaller D'nut cities.... to see how much they're spending on what....

What do you guys say we offer to give them dyes, provided they use any drop in the lux rate to boost their science rate?

Scout - I think that is a good idea.

Whomper - I like all three suggestions.

Daghie - I like the not renewing the peace idea. TNT would almost have to turtle to survive.

We do investigations first to find out how heavy their burden of lux tax is. If it is, they may get some dyes. Thing is I have other plans for them goodies. See diplo for TNT

yup... i garee with Daghdha. Although investigating right now might not be best as they are pretty close to Engineering and could be backing off to save money while saving the turns to complete.

If we investigate a city is it known to them? I'd hate to encounter a trust issue.

Doughnutians,

I took a quick look at the save, and noted that you accepted our offer of dyes... I know our diplomats have approached you with some ideas for a dyes deal, and I believe some of the ideas involved "out of game compensation".

I just requested a 24 hour extension. Let's see if we can hammer out some sort of arrangement so that I can send the dyes along this turn.

I want colored sprinkle thingies on my next shipment of donuts. :D

Best regards all,
scout

If they already accepted the dyes, what are we going to send along this time?
