Diplo for D'nut

Unless we are being played I think the Nuts' latent Idiot gene makes them predisposed to us.

Points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... blah, blah, blah... :)

All of that to confusingly and inelegantly say make a decent deal that secures peace at the least, but probably military cooporation in the future. Secure our Holdings with reasonable forces and start the Cold War with MIA. The Nuts are our China.

I really have to agree with this assessment.
If they're playing us they can't keep it secret for much longer.

Here's some wild arse thinkin'...
[Edit, I kept trying to come up w/ a cogent arguement for taking our "over the sea" forces and marching into D'Nut while their forces are extended and claiming TNT land, and we have a standing peace treaty w/ MIA, but I just keep shaking my head :shake: at myself. I just don't think we're past the tipping point enough to go AW. In the event of such an attack, if I were MIA and wanted to abide by the treaty, I would put all the financial backing I could into our opps.]

I doubt TNT's threads are too cheerful these days. Although I have to tip my hat to them for staying in the game and trying to bloody our noses as best they can before entering the history books.

BTW, What's Charis' Law? I have to imaging it's along the lines of not letting any one team becoming too big. And interestingly enough there's a Charis Consultancy that parctices employment law in the UK. www.charisconsult.co.uk

Since the war with MIA is some time in the future, if I were the Nuts I would bank on my ability to settle-rush OUR Island when we start taking Greek cities.
Just for discussion. Why wait? Our turnplayer can handle it better than theirs. let's demand something.

Charis' Law: Population is Power.

Without your citizens nothing happens. With them, everything is possible: production, commerce, research, you name it. Therefore you want to maximize your population. When in doubt, go for more people.

@JB "The Charis" Bugsy talks about is the Charis of "Sirian and Charis" fame.
Two players that are rare air as some would say....great players with a way with words.

Along with "growth is power" I think Charis also said "sleep is for the weak". :D

If you ever get a chance read "Finally Ready for Regent" or "Mongolian Peacekeepers".

And here is an example of the "Charis rule" going "poof" in a pbem. While it's a sure thing in SP, the rule only increases your chances for winning against a human, it in no way guarentees it.

Helluva game. Would have never guessed that it would turn out that way. However, even though the Russians had a winning position they didn't know it. The greek player threw in the towel too quickly.

I watched a chess match between two top ranked high school players that went the same way. It was being commentated by Maurice Ashley and Gregory Kaidanov and at one point in the game Ashley said "It's over!". But the next turn he looked at the board and said "I hope he's not thinking of doing "X"." Well, he did it and managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The player to make the bonehead move was Kaidanov's student. He just shook his head.

can someone please contact donut's today? we really need to know what we want to do about chems as we will finish it next turn. at the very least, we should tell donut that we are about to finish it.

PM sent to Robi D and Killercane.

This from Killercane. I would like to know what their pace on the top half is at this point. If we turn off research we could possibly use some cash for horse upgrades. Not sure how I feel about slowing down research but he may have a point.
Killercane said:
I would stop research until MIA gets it in a few turns. Makes it cheaper, gives you gold, and doesnt slow down research to metallurgy + MT that badly.

And I forgot, TNT has sent 4 immos and 5 pikes west to take us on. There is that much less resistance in the core (dynopolis and the capital).

Great intel. I'm sure G-man will be able to take advantage of that.

Message from Killercane...he seems a bit tweaked by MIA. MIA seems to be good at that. I think we should take advantage of the cash offer by making some horses for future upgrade. If we get Leo's in time this would be huge.

I heard that MIA placed a city on some spices. Seems like they are playing opportunist. BCLG told me they have stopped sending MIA battle reports and they area a little aggravated with TNT.

Where are you guys at on research right now

We have Banking/Astro and quite some gold. Whenever you need gold let us know. MIA put a city on the silks in our land and it pisses me off severely. <Bleep> wont even investigate a TNT city for us. We will let them do Chemistry and then Physics, per the Whomp Plan.

When we get MT I would love to war on their <blanks>.

I think we have found our soul-mates; rage as the organizing principle of foreign policy.

good. let's get to work formalizing it, eh? the sooner the better, as it ensures a coherent strategy thru the end of the MA into the early IA.

Anything we can to do to throw fuel on the fire or further cement D'Nut's contempt for MIA's play should be done. At a minimum we metion the Silk City infraction about a hundred times until we get a long term agreement put in place w/ D'Nuts.

If MIA was trying to earn D'Nut's favor they seem to have blown it. Let's make sure we don't let the pendulum swing back the other direction.

As long as we're not being royally played I would say that MIA's already dead but they just don't know it.

We'll start posting a new battle plan in the War Room. We need to start collecting data and intel on MIA. So some tasking for the department of geeks and number crunchers. Screenshots, city productivity, order of battle analysis, anything and everything.

From killercane pm

Some intelligence on TNT:

http://img160.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dancingbanana5tf.jpg.

MIA is trying to throw in some thing after the fact about not sharing it with you, but they didnt mention that when I threw gems at them for the info originally. So you didnt hear it from me BUT Total (including those not visible on the screenshot) Dancing Banana Garrison - 10 veteran pikemen, 2 regular pikemen, 2 trebuchets, 4 veteran immortals.

We also need to discuss what to do with the Whomp Plan, as we will have chem from MIA, Banking/Astro in a few turns, and Physics 6 turns after that... but with a no trade clause we may have to have a phony war (against each other or a real war vs. MIA) or some other such creative stuff to get the techs to you.

Cheers,
Casey

We need to rethink our assault on Dancing Banana. We'll need a whole lot more trebs than what we have now. Let's concentrate on the outlying cities for the moment. TnT is probably rushing every chance they get. We need to make their support costs unbearable.

I think if we head west those cities are empty. Semtex etc. They are making their stand in the capital.

PM sent to Killercane and Robi D.

Hey Killercane and Robi D,

Let's try to keep close contact on troop movements these coming turns so we can coordinate our attacks and shorten the amount of time TNT exists.

We noticed you hav 13 ish MW's, 1 pike, 4 swords and a settler.

I think we have something like 3 pikes, 5 GS, , 8 LBs and 9 trebs in the area.

If we both go for 'Nana at the same time they can't do much about it.

Would you like any of these cities in particular between Provobomb(immortal is top defender btw), Semtex and Dancing 'Nana ?
We could always gift the captured city back to each other once we decide who gets what.

Let me know your thoughts.
