DirectX not certified

I just bought Call of Duty, and need to install directX 9.0c. However, my Windows XP won't let me install it, because it is not certified! Can you please, please help me?

Ah, just download the 9.0c from microsoft.com instead

I suppose you have WinXP with service pack 2? Perhaps it does not recognize the redistributable version of directx
