discovered areas are still black

discovered areas are still black, I have tried the 3 different video settings no help. And I tried working with the video card settings but still no help. Otherwise it is a great game. This also happned in Rail Tycoon III, but not as dark and the ocean was green/grey/brown mix, and in time a fix came out to correct the problem. But if anybody knows something please help.

Probably your graphic card doesn't support T&L. you can get a cheap card with T&L under $100.
