Do animals go to heaven (or hell) ?

Where in the Bible does it say that?

As a Buddhist I say in my opinion that there is no heaven and hell! Animals are like us with souls but not conciousness, and are the result of negative karma.

Pug, until I know what religion we're discussing in here, I can't answer that, as it would probably be off-topic. Let's wait for news from the original poster, okay?

I never knew you were a Buddhist, HotdogFish! :)

What a disappointed for you, FL, I am atheist.
However, I was supposed to be christian.

And I don't think that makes any difference- poeple who don't have Heaven/Hell would say that there is no such, or they would ignore this thread

so ignore it. the thread was obviously made for people who believe in heaven. ah-duh!

Ok, two things.

1) You still haven't answered my question.

2) If you're an atheist, why would you care about the answer to your question?

Oh, and there is just one other thing: what's with the attitude, dude? I thought I was being rather civil.

IMHO,
Animals are lucky.
They lack the mental powers to invent such concepts as 'heaven' and 'hell'.

Only we humans are crazy enough to try and control each other via a theology.
And kill each other over something that is intangible.

Evidence, surely, of our superior intellect!

My thoughts exactly!

Eat, Defecate, Procreate. That's all we do anyway.

Our minds just make up the rest to convince ourselves that we really aren't animals! :D

What a looooonnnnngggg, strange trip it's been...

Pillager, are you quoting the Bible?
dont belive everything it says, althoug Im Roman Catholic, the Bible is like a fairy tale.
would you really belive someone stopped the sun for a few seconds?
or someone else opened the red sea?
I dont belive it.
But I think Plugover is right we will never agree, and no one can say he's absolutly right.
I recommend we belive what we still belive and stay off the controversy which is very likely to raise in this thread.

or we can continue:)
I remember watching this one show that did say that the Red sea actually does open up every now and again, due to the tides being weird and a small strip of land there thats fairly shallow and the waters moving back or whatever. but I have, had no reason to belive that they were making it up. and they had this perfectly understandable reason for it. and god wasen't it ;)

I'd think for animals to go to heaven, there would have to be some sort of animal version of Jesus Christ for all the animals in the world if they are to go to heaven. One of the things on being a Christian is to, at least, accept that Jesus is your savior. So perhaps the animals accept an animal version of Jesus as their savior or something. I dunno. :P

I wonder what kind of automation is God (or his staff) using. How he distinguish human souls from animal souls?
how does he make sure that right after you die, you go straight there?
How he manages to pull all that souls at once? Example, during some mass killing (nuclear bomb), do Heaven Gates get overloaded?

......!!!
