MJ does what it does as a protection device against animals/bugs... how does it affect them?

Don't know since i am not a entomologist but it would be cool chilling in a summer breeze at my own leasure and smoking and sharing pot with an insect.Especially those goofy big-bug eyes starin down at ya.:crazyeye:

Imagine the kind of conversation that we can have!

Yes insects who eat the resin glands will get high. However most eat the roots as grubs and the lower leaves as adults. The biggest problems are aphids, gnats and spidermites destroying the plants stalks and roots. Anys will find the resin glands and go to town like you wouldn't beleive taking each gland and brinnging it back to the lair.

Ant love it? how clever!

i knew ants were the stoners of the animal kingdom.

I've heard marijuana leaves are very healthy for you actually.

I'd like to make a salad of them someday (when it becomes legal in the US, soon hopefully). :)

How about "I think these arthropods probably have different physiologies"?

This page should be of use to you, though I can't find the original....
