Do you have any hobbies?

Procrastination is my ultimate hobby, but besides that, I like to read and study French.

Playing CIV and eating. Playing guitar in between, and sometimes toss an occasional book in there. I write too.

I recently started collecting and painting Warhammer miniatures. Here is one:

-Football matches

I have a ton of hobbies. Reading fiction, drawing, cross stitch/needlepoint, knitting, making jewelry with beads, all kinds of word puzzles (like in GAMES magazine), logic puzzles especially on the computer, beta testing games for Everett Kaser - www.kaser.com, doing all kinds of stuff for my church - maintaining the web site, directing the choir, designing brochures and programs - writing music, singing, and in the summer, I like swimming. Of course, playing CIV and visiting the forums is right up there.

I conquered most of Germany with Brandeburg....but i cant fight France, im still 50,000 troops short of her

CFC, running, gym, dancing, bridge. Once apon a time I played both MtG and 40K, as well as various old strategy board games.

I like to make cool displays with fresh water aquariums. Mixing the materials lighting and even fish to compliment each other is a great challange for the astute hobbist.

I also have gone above the surface in recent years to pertake in the art of waterfall scape. I go with all types of the forms of waterfall you might see and their backround construction always presnets many rewarding challenges. Me personally, Ive gone as far Adding light and even baby trouts but once a hawk or something ate the fish. :(
Waterfall construction is very soothing to the builder and benofacter. Having the moving water from the falls is a great benifit for the fish and the owner over having still ponds. The oxygen is plentyful and it keeps algie and bugs away.

Some more tencnical aspects are building the paths of least resistance, flow rate to minimize water spalsh off yet to stop bug larvie from developing. Proper filter maintence water treatment even judging the amount of sun expose location has it points that lead to great advantages for those who take the time to develop the craft.

Genetically altered fish or frogs that glow in the dark at night, enchanced by black light placed underwater are available for order today! The selection of genitically altered "looks" for water features increase all the time. :undecide: The Science being done right now that promises progress in my hobby is the push to make fresh water fish more hardy and less susceptible to common water quality ailment.

Large hobby/pet fish wholsalers see many fish die on transport. thats a big loss and the motive for the reseach but this is also having a benifit to survival of waterscaping 'accesories' ltrying to make it in slightly less hospitable envorments, like say the avergage persons backyard or mall where kids toss pennys and bubble gums :D

Basicly the technolgy of the last few years is opening up the market to boad range of custumers and hobby pursuists. Combing the two hobbies, exotic fish and waterscaping is leaving the only in seen in Lasvagas or Resort type atmosphere and will soon be affordable and practical for anyone to get involved! :)

The "affordablity starts with the advances in the old idea of mixing in solar, wind and hydo power to create a nice clean cordless and self sufficant yard feature thats in harmony with nature and adds to the look and even feel,.

The faint humming of a small chrome windmill spinning and falling water churing the turbine mixed with the birds or wahtever is the sound of pure relaxation

Solar panels keep getting smaller with more power. You can see the trend in those solar garden lamp posts that keep getting brighter and lasting longer plus, some are getting pleaseing to the eyes . Ten years ago this wasn't even a option for garden enthusiasts. Nevermind showcasing your waterfalls garden backdrop, it was expense to light up your waterfall at night. Thats not counting what it costs to run its pumps and underwater mood lighting, and heater, cooler off the same grid

Another strong point for my hobby potential, the Global warming trend was not around ten years ago and its supposlivly responsable for ushering in the new 'outdoor welcoming' climate. Lastly, CAnada being the new money flossing land, has a big budjet for exotic outdoor self sufficant waterfalls as the new way to show up the neighbours pool. Where water is availble for such luxery looks at affordable prices You will see me doing my lil side hobby

This hobby is yet to take flight As I see it . I may plan on opening a small side business when I get to Calgary using my labour profits from another feild of expertise. It will be my way to make amends to mother earth for reapin a check by raping her steady
WE need global vison of technolgy improving the look of nature and nature reducing our technolgys footprint whiole improving its look infold. This event becoming realized only in a landscaping sence leads to the beatification of our collective surrondings.

Things like cool looking test tube fish + exotic plants thriving from man made climate + stylish-looking renewable energy devices that apear only as great landscaping. ONce this has been enfused for the peace and invigoration of the soul, quality of life fro the greater community shall follow
It gets exciting to get dream in a master grandvision when you pertake in the hobby. Kind of like dreamin with a friend of the day you both can retire from the proceeds of your baseball collection

Essey out

Tablet pc! Maybe you can try drawing it on a tablet PC then porting it.

.... Chances are you don't have one, but since Singapore is so Techy I am sure you could rent one from the liabrary in your UNI. I go 2 a very small college and they let us borrow equipment like that ;) :)

I play guitar, that's about it. I spend most of my spare time on the internet or watching TV.

umm, no, no and no.

They dont let non-student/teacher take anything out of the library.

You are aware that you can never get the proportions correct, aren't you? I mean... when going from 3 to 2 dimensions, you must sacrifice distance, area, connectivity, or sanity...

Is this some kind of a joke I'm not getting?

I have none...
