Do you like water?

As in getting on your body in a recreational form, not drinking or bathing (I hope you do all at least bathe).

Sometimes I think I'm the only person in the U.S. who doesn't enjoy swimming in the ocean, lake, river, swimming pool, or water park. Water to me is cold. I happen to be one of the few americans who are thin , so I get cold easily. Being cold is unpleasant. Getting wet gets me cold. Therefore getting wet is unpleasant. Hot tobs aren't bad I suppose. You don't get cold in them. But the jets don't really do anything for me except annoy me.

In our country everyone has a fascination with water which I never truly got. So I made this thread in hopes that there are people here at CFC as freaky as I am who don't really like the water. Or am I the only one? You'd think I would like the water living in the desert, but no.

I'll make a multiple choice poll and you can check which water activities you like (if any). Feel free to discuss your favorite water activities.

Love it all. Add rain to that list as well. In fact, I love water so much that I think I'm going to get laser eye surgery just so it's that much easier to enjoy the water (I'm terrible with contacts. Have prescription goggles for real distance swimming, but one looks like a giant dork when you wear them for anything else).

I'm a swimmer...I guess that answers the question. But my best experiences are in hot tubs.

I get this, a bit. At the beach I'd generally only swim out as far as where I can stand, though I'm a competent swimmer (or used to be, I haven't swam for a couple of years or so)

I like swimming and watersports, I'm just very bad at it. I don't know anyone else who swims as slowly as I do and yet would claim they can swim.
